    Nice & thorough! Did you ask me about a filter fitment issue? The old filter seal is still in the valve body... you probably figured it out by now. :) Looking forward to rest of the series!

    I have a jetta a4 model 2002, which kicks from 2 to 3, I told you that the box was changed twice, eh changed the body of valves as 10 times, the wiring of the ECU to the connector of the internal harness was changed in its entirety , the internal harness is new, does not throw any code and keeps kicking from 2 to 3, yesterday I put another body of valves and still doing the same, someone who can help me and tell me what I can do.

    Hi, you did the perfect job. I have a golf mk3, 1997 y, 1780 cc, ADZ engenier. I did it all the same as you with the same parts. When I returned the valve body to the gearbox and tried it did not work in D nothing like it's in neutral, also on N it is normal neutral, everything else works well. When the 3 changes the speeds very well 1-2-3. Do you have any idea what it can be? Thanks

    +Sale Rosic I'm not too sure. What was the problem before you took it to pieces? The valve body is very sensitive to the correct torque specs. Any fault codes for the solenoids?

  • @sasarosic6519

    @sasarosic6519

    7 жыл бұрын

    No fault code. Before I start any job I put trans in N and take out valve body. Some people say next: Whenever a valve body is installed into an 096 or an 01M Transmission, the internal manual valve linkage MUST BE ADJUSTED to sync up the manual valve with the Rooster comb and external linkage. But how do this?

  • @sasarosic6519

    @sasarosic6519

    Before I do job was problem solenoid N03, trans have only 3 rd and revers sometime put in 4 but work in D. When cold change normal 1-2-3-4 but after 10-15 min stay only in 3.

  • @imnobody4522

    Is it telling you to measure resistance through the cable, or directly off each solenoid body? I have a feeling that the cable will give you a variance in readings.

  • @Badgertronix

    @Badgertronix

    You need to check the continuity of the loom. They are a weak point and fail frequently as important as checking the solenoids. No significant difference in resistance

    Lookin' good so far! I hope you took the opportunity to walk inside covered in transmission fluid just to give your wife the shock of her life. ;D Out of curiosity, what type of transmission fluid were you running? I'm sure you've mentioned before, but my poor brain cell just can't seem to find the memory. :] As always, give me a shout if I can help you out at all!

    +rhkips She has a new born baby, she wouldn't even notice! The old fluid is Penrite Multi-Veicle which is a local Australasian brand. Decent quality but not technically an approved fluid. You'll have to wait and see what fluid goes in there... I sure will, your advice has been invaluable in getting me this far.

    Badgertronix Oh gosh, haha! Congrats on fatherhood! Hope things are going well? :] Aah, alright. I wondered! I get a bit worried when I see red falling out of a VW transmission... I shall wait with baited breath! In the mean time, as long as what you had in there met Dexron III specs, it will have been fine short-term. Not ideal, but definitely not damaging. :)

    +rhkips Thanks, it's exhausting so far! I've been using that fluid for years with no issues. Penrite recommend it on their website for this application but it doesn't have the VW spec listed. kansascitytdi.com/o1m-faq/ red fluid seems pretty common with hopefully not too many issues. The new fluid meets VW specs btw ;)

    Badgertronix I can imagine! Best of luck to you guys! Yeah, there are a few "global" fluids that meet the spec. I'm apprehensive about them, only because I'm a picky bastard. I don't actually have any logical arguments against them. ;D

  • @Badgertronix

    +rhkips fair enough, oils and fluids can be an emotive issue. I just checked again and the Penrite stuff does meet LT71141 which translates to the right spec. I live on a rock at the bottom of the world, I'll take whatever fluid I can find!
