The dealership and independent workshops usually just replace the whole propeller shaft - just the part alone will run you about 1800 bucks (work not included), but you can buy both bearings for about 80 bucks on ebay , do the job yourself and save yourself a nice slump of money, that you instead can spend on ice-cold beer :) here's how I did it.

Hi, Thank you for the videos. I was wondering if this is for a long wheel base T5 ? I seem to have only one carrier bearing on my short wheel base, as the whole prop shaft is just two piece.

Hi. Sry guess I forgot to mention it; it is the short wheelbase version. However, the principle is the same. Remember to loosen the six bolts holding the cv-joint together before you loosen the six bolts in the front and back.
Do you have the part number for this? I can't seem to find it in the catalogue

Ordered off Ebay from PROCE-Autoteile; item number 362804733233 for the rear bearing and 362804740523 for the front one.
