Wow - I can remember when 190hp was a lot. I had a brand new VW Golf GTI, maybe a Mk II, which (if I remember right) had 135hp. Anyway, this is a cool practical car and gets to 160Km/h (100mph) well enough. So that's ok with me. Oh, by the way, I heard on the radio today that there are moves in Germany to end unrestricted Autobahns - for reasons of air pollution. I sure hope that never happens.

@@philippk1125 Especially for you Phillip, I have looked into it and it was a MK3 with 137hp. It was a company car so I did not pay for it or even choose the colour - it was red. It was quite a long time ago. A few cars before that one I had a Simca 1301 - I bet you do not know what that is.

@@martinberry1040 There wasn't a mk3 GTI with 137hp... There were: 2.0 8 valve 115hp and and 2.0 16 valve 150hp.

@@roli22039 Oh well, in that case it was a Mk2 as I originally thought, as mine had a 1.8 engine and less hp than I thought. It was more than 30 years ago. It's really great to get this straightened out.

Yeah, I wondered too. I commented on it - then it's pulled. Not cool. Maybe they upset BMW (just a little bit) or maybe it was the 360p. Or something else.
