1987 Volkswagen Quantum GL5 Wolfsburg Edition. Auto Transmission, Power Sunroof, Power Mirrors, Central Locking (Doors, Truck, Fuel Filler Door). Valor seats with valor door inserts. Carpet lined trunk and illuminated vanity mirror for the passenger.
This is one of the rarer vintage California 1980 era VW cars around and it's totally hip. It's in pristine shape for its age and has been meticulously maintained. Thorough keeping of all the maintenance records documenting:
- New brake pads
- New front disks
- New muffler
- Transmission gasket replacement
- New starter
- New factory VW air conditioning Kompressor
- New front 'A' arms
- New stereo unit
- Bluetooth hands free phone (Parrot)
- New speakers, front and rear
Everything works as it should. It has never been in an accident, no rips or tares exist in the interior. The head liner is not sagging or falling apart. Never smoked in, no pets allowed, eating in the car never allowed either.

I still have it! The paint is a little worse, but mechanically perfect still, working locking diffs etc.

What a gem, congratulations!! I'm in Brazil and I have a Santana 86, of course the main difference in this one is the engine, but I think the comfort and finishing details are different from my model, the sunroof is really cool!! But I didn't know that my square had some with cup holders for the rear armrest, I even studied adaptations in it or in the center console between the seats, but as my GLS is two doors, articulating the seats would be a problem... The internal levers of the doors are also different and very beautiful, and one thing I would like to find are the rugs, what a cozy impression! Although the inside of mine is gray and black, but it must have that quality with this pattern. This front grille never came to Brazil, but it was offered at the front with fog aids integrated into the grille, with directional arrows on the bumper. Those windows look really big. My parents had a 1986 Quantum but in my memories I thought it had a little more rounded edges rather than the square boxy look

Really, really beautiful! Congratulations! It's been hard to find one in pristine condition, since most of them are being dismantled for parts. I have a question, though: are you the only owner? Because the taillights should have the red insert in the sides, that one looks European spec. But, anyway, WHAT A CAR!

They ran great cause they weren´t so BIG than todays cars. Those were really i n t e l l i g e n t times - less fuel thru l i g h t weight . . .

It is called Santana basically everywhere in the world and this car runs forever if maintain well. I must say old VW cars are 10 times better than the new VW cars.

Had the exact same one in silver back in the early 90's. From what I understand all Wolfsburg Editions were made in Germany not Brazil.
