i have just bought this car as "Elegance" line (formely Highline) , after a testdrive i was "stunned" how quick the (small) 150HP Diesel with DSG accelerates....the chassis is more than comfortable and the quality is outstanding.....

Spacious and thats the only good thing said about Passat. When even Polo MPI more joyfull, just have to remember B3, B4, B5, I doubt that B9 will change something - it became a crocodile which reached its limits.

Same mistake as with Insignia, 1st generation was popular and 2nd was not because it stretched too much without any charm.

How is it to drive? especially since the dsg gearbox always shifts into the highest possible gear

I found that the DSG was nice to drive. Of course, the Passat is quite heavy. That's why the 2.0 TDI with 150 PS sometimes needs to rev up a bit. As a long-distance driver on the highway, I would choose the higher engine power. But the DSG shifts smoothly and calmly.

Wie ist das Fahrwerk? Ich mags lieber soft ;)

Das Fahrwerk ist total in Ordnung. Es bügelt die Straße schön glatt. Unebenheiten kommen nicht zu stark zum Fahrer durch. Bei schneller Fahrt, hilft auch der lange Radstand um die Bodenwellen schön auszugleichen.

Kommst du aus dem Erzgebirge ? Erz am Nummernschild 😅
