It would be great to get a visual of the 0-100 mph with this tune. Or at lease post some times. It would be greatly appreciated amongst of community.

You gain 500Lb in tow capacity as a result of this tune for 2018/2019/2020 vw tiguans. What I mean is that your tow capacity goes from 1500Lb to about 2045Lb. I hope that helps. Take note that the mechanical thrust structures of your car or engine have not changed though. This is a very serious consideration that must be made if you decide to start towing more than the recommended 1500Lb. Even though this flash adds power to your car, it doesn't increase the mechanical strength of your car or it's mechanical components by any amount.

This Tiguan is daily driven and has had 0 issues with the tune and still going strong!

Hi! How much is this and which tunes are you allowed to select? Is it cheaper to do it this way versus having it installed at a tuner?

Any issues with the tuned Tiguan over the last 7 months?

Did this correct any of the laggy shifting? You also have the Turbo elbow pipe as well?

Whats your thoughts on the transmission in these, how lazy is it and is it worse now being tuned and no tcu tune.

Hey guys, great video. Just purchased a 2021 SEL R. I am experiencing latency issues gas petal to engine on dead stops and sticky gear changes. I guess this is a known issue. Did you see any improvements regarding this with the tuning? Thx!

In the S mode the gear changes are fast and short.. Pedal response it quicker.

Looking at a 22 SE-R, Its got 9k miles on it. Have you ran into any issues daily driving? esp. after 10k miles? want to make sure it wont shit on me after i hit 10k.

With this tune you don’t need a tcu tune as well?

How do you like the tune? I’m debating between this and apr but heavily leaning uni! Looks much better!

Feels very good and smooth! Really transforms the car and feels like how it should from factory! Also nice to be able to stomp some cars that don't expect the power.

I have a 2021 Tiguan S and want to tune to stage 1(+). Does the ECU or any hardware need upgrading or is this solely a software upload that is shown in this video? Thanks

This is a pure software upload. The fueling will be the only thing determining what stage you will go (87,91,93).

would you say that its worth buying the uniconnect+ and do it yourself at home or bring it to the unitronic dealer and have them do it for you? I have really no experience in this so I ma afraid of doing any mistakes.

It's pretty straightforward to do the tune yourself. Having the cable allows you to switch back and forth if you wanted too. Either than that if you don't think you ever need to switch up the tune as a personal convenience than you can just get the tune through a local shop

How has the trans performed with the extra power? Really wanna do a tune on my wife’s R Line.

Our Tiguan is daily driven and has had 0 drivability issues. We must say this is the perfect tune to get some extra juice out of the Tiguan!

I'm running this same ecu tune and while the increase in power is great, I think it would be benefit greatly from a TCU tune as well. But given its not a DCT, assuming it's not possible.

I'm seriously looking into buying one this year for 2021 Tiguan along with intake. Any reliability updates on this?

Yes you can. VW can still see that is has been flashed in the past though.

How can you know if the car has a tune when buying used, i bought my tiguan and it had a CAI and feels more powerful than other tiguans ?

A CAI alone won't make the car go faster so you would need to ask the previous owner (if possible), or a specialized shop if the car has been flashed. Stage 1 is a day and night difference!

Quick question I know that the 2022+ Tiguan R line has the ambient lighting that changes colors, does this pre refresh Tiguan do that or is it only white ?

They don’t receive the DSG treatment on that particular year Tiguan it’s a 2.0T with an 8 speed Aisin transmission

do i have to leave the engine running? or just keep it idle when installing?

You need to plug a battery tender to make sure it doesn't die and have enough voltage during the tune. Tuning is done with ignition on only NOT with the engine running or idling. Hope that helps

What would happen if you were to use a lower octane gas?

Less results. If you use the tune for 87 the power variance will be different from 91 to 93oct

So don't listen to the first comment. 91 is min required for this TSI and most VAG vehicles. You can get some pretty significant engine issues from running a lower octane gas.

So the stock Tiguan in North America only requires 87 octane. With the Unitronic tune we can use the UNICONNECT+ system to switch between maps. For stage 1/1+ they have files for 87-93 octane. Hope that helps!
