For all the warranty questions: yes it will be void - Powertrain anyway. In the APR case here he got the APR warranty which covers you. VW won't pay for repairs, APR does if VW won't - they have to negotiate it through though so that might take some time. VW shouldn't reject warranty unless they can prove its from the tune. Does that mean the dealership won't work with you - depends if they're mod friendly or not, but if they determine it to be a potential result of the tune they may reject covering repairs....but they won't reject changing a wheel bearing or panel mis-alignment, or rattle or other issues if its not really drive train related...I had a hub bearing replaced and I have a Unitronic tune...was covered under warranty...you take a chance but its well worth it in my opinion, this car is such a slow pig in NA...that b-cycle engine is crap! Wish they just gave us the GTI engine like Europe gets. The tune helps a lot, its not fast but its much more enjoyable to drive a stage 1. I still get about 7 L/100km on the highway too so mileage is still good.

Incorrect. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects you. If the tune messes up the vehicle then your warranty would be voided.

If the dealership is installing the tune, they should take responsibility for what happens afterwards.

Do you have a tune

Added the APR exhaust to my 20 Tiguan but when APR said because I had the Neuspeed intake that the APR tune warranty would not apply. My dealer here in Clarksville Indiana said no way would Volkwagon honor any factory warranty on any kind of tune. Even if done by another dealer. To much of a risk for me.

Plus we all know that even though the tiguans are slow to get up, they eventually catch up to everything on the road. If this gadget will not bring your horse power and torque close to the European version so that you can tow 5500Lbs instead of 1500Lbs, thus saving you from going to buy an Atlast or Touareg, then please just be happy with your car. Don't risk your 72000miles/6 years warranty or your 100,000miles factor warranty.

I wonder if tuning it so it likes using premium fuel will help with carbon build up on cylinder walls and eventual oil burning conditions on higher miles that 1.8t is known for

Yes they did and it won't. They said that if I go to another shop they might say something but as long as I go to my home dealership then it'll be fine

Yeah I'm from Fort Wayne Indiana and I'm leasing my Tiguan and they did my tune for me so I guess it just varies from dealer to dealer but when you have the opportunity get the tune its worth it and I'm doing more performance work as well

Are the sport mode and normal modes the same? or is the car more responsive in sport mode?

As for the way it shifts in normal vs sport yes it is the same concept but with the tune when you put it it sport it really gets up and goes

I have not done anything performance wise but as far as the tune I have had zero issues and still recommend getting one.

Nope not on this tune because it is through APR and my dealership works with them so I actually get to keep my warranty wich is nice

No, it's plug and play, plug it in to two sensors, no ECU programming needed and can be removed without a trace if you need servicing. Made a world of difference on my 2019 Atlas, woke up that sleepy motor. Get NUESPEED online for $379, took about 30 minutes to install due to having to remove the bottom skip plate to get to one senor.

Hp was around 49 an to was around 50

Would you like to make a video showing that? But take note I can't show high speeds on camera and the point is is that a tuned vehicle is obviously faster than one that is not.

@@fakherddinyoutubechannel2819 a 0-60 run, would be helpful, that's not breaking any speed limits in most areas. a befor and after overlap video would be beneficial, especially to those who are interested in getting the same tune, people like myself ;)

The little extra power you get is not worth your lost in warranty, believe me. If your tow capacity went from 1500Lb to 5500Lb, like the European tiguans, then it would have been worth the risk, since you would not have to upgrade to an Atlast. In my technical opinion, this is just a hype, since no one is showing real data to back up their claims. Everyone is telling a story.
