VW Golf MK1 restoration ep.8 - Bosch STARTER
On this episode I am restoring the Bosch starter from the MK1 project. The only part that had to be changed was the brush assembly which I found in car parts store for 20$.

A Sandblast would save you a lot of time and energy on most parts

That's way too much grease. When it turns is going to come up the armature and the permanent magnets.
You know those hexbolts arent burnt from factory right? :P Theyre zincplated and black passivated
i was always told you could not test them older vw starters on the bench, because the dont have an outer housing and the shaft smashes the magnets?
