Stone chip will crack over time, so cover it with wax, it will protect it.

my heart is hurting to see you puting stone chip on it, you will never notice any rust underneeth it. you should use wax instead it is also hard to remove stone chip in the future if you want to weld again. i had the same problems on my mk1 full with stone chip with rust under it, after some years, it was painful to remove everything
