I think people in the comments are misunderstanding the video title. They are not saying that the MK8 is the best generation. They are saying that the GTi Clubsport is the best option in the MK8 range.

Zou het mogelijk zijn om aan het einde van de video een duidelijke screenshot van de gereden tijden te laten zien, of de tijden gewoon op het einde in het clipje te vermelden? Jullie rijden en testen zoveel auto's dat het 100-200 scoreboard een beetje lang en onoverzichtelijk geworden is dus zou het fijn zijn om alsnog de tijden gewoon in het clipje te zien. Het scoreboard blijft natuurlijk wel een mooi overzicht. Verder zijn jullie veruit de beste prestatiegerichte youtube kanaal.

It is all poofy n thick... BUT when the alcantara turns to junk he'll have a perfect OEM wheel if it isn't glued, which it probably is now that I think about it. I used to rip on my dad for having a steering wheel cover on since new, then when I bought his truck at 300k miles I was happy that the OEM wheel was perfect 😂

@@volvo09 I’m pretty sure he has sanded the OEM layer and then glued the thick alcantara on top. If he decides to remove it, he will have to redo the whole wheel, or at least that’s what most people do.

@@lol8463LMAO, so fucking true. Mk5 was peak trash, mk6 was slightly improved trash, mk7 was different universe, and mk7.5 was just a better mk7. The mk8 is a good car overall, but it lacks the character of the mk7, it’s almost too refined in many ways but the infotainment and material quality in certain areas of the car really shit the bed unfortunately

@@FlyingStuff yep, true. the mk8 infotainment, software fiasko was just stupid. some say, the software got outsourced to indians or whatever 😂😂 jk. i got my hopes up, that the golf 8 facelift eliminates all these problems, and that it goes the same way as the 7.5. Because in my opinion, it looks really good.

@@lol8463 they have taken a lot of heat from what I’ve gathered but having recently had one in my shop and really getting to know it inside and out as well as having a good amount of time behind the wheel..it makes a bit more sense as far as UI is concerned than what a lot of keyboard warriors are claiming. I do also agree that they look great-with a few mods haha. Proper ride hight and wheel choice/fitment goes a very long way. This was an Mk8 R I’m speaking of FWIW, I have no experience with the Mk8 GTI . That said, as a long time mk7 owner, I prefer mk7/7.5. I even went so far as to purchase my mk7s replacement/upgrade recently, haha which was moving from a modified golf 1.8tsi hatch, to a modified mk7 1.8tsi sportwagon/dsg/4 motion. I will probably search for another one with low miles in a few years when this one is getting tired, they are just awesome cheap cars

Ich Persönlich finde die MK7 Reihe viel schöner. Der Innenraum ist viel besser gemacht und alles viel einfacher zu bedienen. Was ich beim 7er besser finde das es dort noch Knöpfe gibt und alles leichter ist.

This MK8 GTI Clubsport, just like my MK7 GTI Clubsport, is also a wonderfully compact autobahn racing machine! It remains incredible that power from a 2 liter 4 cylinder! It is unforgivable that you are forced to buy a 4 door instead of a 2 door. No face!!! That is and remains a catastrophe. Tip: go to JD in Lochem and have your GTI edited! Mine has over 400 HP👍👍!!! You will be amazed👍👍!!! ​

i mean for me i could care less about interiors its all about performance/fun and exterior looks for me thats why i loved my veloster N so much back when i still had it. the only bad thing about it was that it kinda spoiled me in terms of exhausts i cant go back to valveless exhausts that shit was so nice when it came to the cops

Yes, for the Clubsport. Regular GTI it’s more like ~240 kph

Leon 300 Cheaper and has DCC as standard

...it's just a shame that you can't drive a car like that in a country where you're only allowed to drive at a maximum speed of 100 km/h... 🙂

@@brainforgreensyou probably have a speed limiter at 250 on the m340i. You should tune it and remove the speed limiter and then its a lot faster

It’s much improved with software. Only thing that I don’t like about it is the touch sliders and the fact that the climate system is integrated into the screen. It works but isn’t optimal compared to fysical dials/buttons.

Idk how quality testers approved this like hey this is all fine. Our customers must park on the side of the road to safely switch the ac on. I drive one of these daily 🤪I take my eyes of the road to set things. I go in the slow lane though
