Now that VW will start WRC rallying in 2013, here's some clips from VW's succesfull rally car in the second half of the 80's. The 2wd Golf's greatest achievements were Kenneth Erikson's 1986 group-A championship and the overall victory from the World Championship rally held in Ivory Coast 1987. These clips are mostly from the 88' Rally Portugal (Weber) and 87' Monte (Eriksson & Weber).

this is the only video i can find where the golf is sliding in the dirt. they dont drive them like they used to it seems ;(
