I love that you tell a lot of the car and give many details.
What a nice and fun little summer beach buggy. I love that car.

A name worthy of Hot Rod magazine.
That car moves! And the suspension looks real tight while having those inflated tires that makes the ride smooth. This adds to my buggy-building motivation. Maybe a 911 swapped one.

Why would you want a 911 swapped one? I've always said that, if you show me a man that is not happy with VWs, I'll show you a man that doesn't know VWs. When you have a VW engine that can haze those big fat hides, you are going to kill yourself if you pack in even more power. These super light weight buggies start to really get squirrely over 190hp or so. There comes a point that, yes, while they are insanely powerful, they are no longer fun to drive.
Cool! Got Dahlbäck vibes on that one. That was how he started in the 80"s in Bilsport.
I have seen a couple of Dune Buggies in Norway. But they are not as clean as this one. She’s lowkey fast too damn. Sick build, thanks for sharing Peter!
Fantastic. Peter Schimdt in videos never disappoints.
There’s a lot of torque in that little motor... those Scat heads are very special - that’s only the second time I have seen those heads in use - well done!
AND a bit of shimmy shimmy action! I had no idea you were such groovy folks!💓
Very cool Dune Buggy. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
The small custom items are really nice.
Great video, and an unusual choice! Love that dashboard.
Its gets off the line very quick. Super fun car it looks like.
Awesome build! Much respect from the US. 10/10 build, 11/10 Cat cameo.
Love the split port heads.
Awsome car, looks like a lot of fun.
Sweet Manx. Love this channel!
It's certainly a different concept to put Sweden, well known for its cold climate, and summer fun, which normally requires a hot climate, into the same sentence. 😉 Nonetheless, I love beach buggies and love Swedish car engineering, and Swedish car builder in general, and this example is exceptional. Thanks for the upload. 👍
Boa tarde, bom dia ou boa noite!! Que coisa mais linda!! Ficou fantástico!! Esse ronco ficou...ficou... tremendo kkk 4x1 abraços de Joinville SC BRASIL
Very cool! great video! beautiful buggy
Great Dune Buggy very well built!
really cool buggy and nice parts on it and cat!
It sounds great!
I had one of these - I was stupid and sold it. Wish I could find another. So much fun!!
Fantastiskt!😍🤩
Mighty fine, thanks for sharing!
You should make a beach buggy with a Lamborghini engine. Maybe even twin turbo it Haha.

More like a Lamborghini engine with a beach buggy parasite on it xD

He is pushing 200 HP, using over sized tires, he can hardly keep it planted to the ground as it is! As the V-Dub sets, it out-cools the Lambo!

always enjoy your videos :) cool little toy!
Looks lovely 👌
200hp, rear swing axles and roll bar make for some tail happy fun times!
absolutely beautiful!
Outrageously fast!
Truly impressive! ❤ 👍
Nice buggy, lovely Cat!
Neat little car, thanks
Nice ride , like it!!!
Just beautiful
Parabéns muito bonito esse Buggy Bley de ponta grossa PR.Brasil
Would like to see it do sprint car power slides with those Hoosiers !! Cool buggy !
Very cool mate👍
All the rage in the 60’s. They were everywhere at the beaches in CA.
great buggy!
When you find those in Germany they usually have the standard 34hp beetle engine- and nobody ever drives them because it is illegal to drive at the beach... I have also never seen one that doesn't sport a completely questionable choice of color...

34hp -> 200hp is probably the most impressive improvement in a production engine without using forced induction or nitrous.

a friend of mine here in sweden have one of those. its weak as hell but very fun to drive. massive tires and low center of gravity makes it stick to the road like nothing else. barely have to brake to take turns.
Very cool
Showwwwww de Vídeo ...Parabéns ...
Funny point is that the windshield is on backwards. I did the same on mine. The channel should face forward for the soft top install. I think it looks better installed backwards anyway.
Really Nice!
Wow. Split port heads!
Nice tune
Nice Toy I must say !!! Regards 🇧🇷
awesome 👍
Im envy to your buggy, looks cool
Foguete parabéns irmão
very nice video gives me some ideas i have a 1966’ manx clone as well here in california
Super Rad, we dig it down under. =)
I think Sävar Turbo has posted a videos somewhere of a buggy like this with a BMW M10 turbo making 400hp. It does very good times at the drag stirp
beautiful
That buggy is so cool! I am building a 1973 Porsche 911 with a turbocharged 2276 Vw motor making 200hp. I enjoy that you are not a Lamborghini snob you are in to all different types of mechanical objects. Many people's first experiences with working on a car is with an aircooled vw.. Hows the "Volvoghini" coming??
So rad!!!
Nice videos and content 👍
I used to own a beach buggy and turbo beetle. Makes me miss them... although not working on them. LOL
Muito top esse Buggy 🇧🇷
daym! look sick af
That music was spot on
you got skill wow
nice buggy!.
That is one boss buggy...!...😎😜
looks like manx. boxer sounds great!
i've seen in finland many of those old buggys
I have one manx too. To Drive it is an experience. Its all about pasion. for cars and drive. There is noting like that.
Big muito linda, aí sim vejo potencial
I believe i visited him and bought a Volvo 340 Variomatic once... If NOT him, he does seem like a man who would own a few.
Askersund, denna pärla!
just wow
From America, " VERY COOLL "
Great build!! No way you could have that rear tyre set up declared road legal in Oz.
Una verdadera joya
modip mobilnya unik , ban nya mirip mobip F1 mesin belakang " keren
Hermoso ❤❤
i wonder if Mustie1 has seen this i bet he would be droolin lol
I know someone who has one but it needs a lot of work wondering if ita worth the build in person they look pretty badass
Dune Buggy is what they were called over here. I think an electric swap possibly a Tesla or Chevy Volt would be crazy fast. I’m working the plans for an Electric swap for a 1964 Chevy Corvair.
I had one in the late 80s and it was a " taipan " beach buggy
The tires is soo big!! what tire size you use for this car? But it's nice with big engine...👍 Nice dude! Thumbs up from Autotune Indonesia...
Love that car. I'm glad to see that you stayed with the VW engine instead of trying to fit something water cooled in it. It seems here in the States, people just can't stand the idea of having a little sewing machine engine and just HAVE to change it out. I really enjoyed your video. BTW, what is the music that comes in at around 11:14? At 11:43 is the weirdest car I've ever seen. Over there in the oncoming lane is what looks like a Volvo 544 with a pick up truck bed on it. Did Volvo ever make one of these or is this something custom?
@Dempoj

That volvo is a A-traktor/epa-traktor. Its a like a tractor convertion of a car. Its only allowed to go 30kmh but you get a license when you're 15 or 16. They were used as a cheap tractor in the 1930s but later in the 60s and 70s they became like a car for the youth.
WOW💜
That’s really cool, those rear tyres are crazy!
FYI,,,,,,,You have the windshield on backwards. The slot should be onthe front
Top cara 🎉😮😊Brasil
Morfar byggde ganska många såna och sålde runt om i Sverige😃👍🏼 han gjorde de i Storfors Värmland

Mantap bang... saya juga lagi bikin mini buggy...🙏😊😊👍
Your car cool master
A beach boogie. :)
Amazing buggy. I have a question: Are these Hoosier Wheels street legal in Germany?
Vilket bygge!
muy bonito buggy
If you can afford a Lamborghini, you can afford to build a custom dune buggy. Very nice job I admire the knowledge of a gear head.
