VW B5.5 Passat Front Door Speaker Upgrade with Custom Ring Spacers

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Front door speaker upgrade on a 3BG Volkswagen B5.5 Passat. I will show step by step, on how to remove the OEM/Stock speakers and install the upgraded speakers. I will also make custom ring spacers to accommodate the new upgraded speakers. This should be applicable on the VW Passat's from these years 2001-2005.

Great job! And the quality of the video is at least 9/10. Great video shooting and editing skills, and the music was neither in poor taste nor overbearing. And your soft speech makes it easily listenable.

It’s funny because two years ago I saw a video of you who helped me a lots to install an android car radio to passat b5, for connections with contact cut 75x, and I had also met this problem left the suite with speakers, and we have almost the same idéa to create wooden supports, good job.

Great job! Looks clean and professional. I am interested to see the solution for the back doors + how are you planning to AMP the speakers. There is also a very cool way to adjust the gains properly with only a multi-meter and a short formula, but that's in case you are using an amplifier. I doubt the head unit would be powerful enough to amp the speakers properly. I also drive Passat B5. I would be happy to share information in regards to the car audio :) Keep the good work!

Much respect! My car came with the monsoon amp. So with the factory amp plus the radio, they power all fours speakers with no problem. I was planning to bypass the factory amp and install a new amp just for the door speakers, But after I heard how they play with the factory amp I was surprised.

Great video as always, I will be using this video to replace mine on my own B5.5. In my opinion the original speakers sound very good, especially paired with a subwoofer. Were your speakers a big improvement compared to the stock ones? Thanks.

480 watts haha ok,you are aware when it says that on the box its talking about total,so 240 each but i seriously even doubt that, but anyways nice work, nice set of tools you got there,i need me a drill press like that im getting old,so no foam or automotive silicone under the wood dude that would help and tons of deadener i know you know that, the only thing you have to look out for guys doing double stack with wood guys is your running into the problem its called chamfering.your literally choking the speaker, take a speaker hold it in your hands and wrap them around it or put your baffle rings around it and look, theres no where for the speaker to function properly.just a tip guys, read up on it,chamfering speakers.well enjoy the tunes, crank it up
