Very good review. It sounds like a really piano. Nice character and very well balanced sounds. Great work by VSL. I have a one question regarding the Studio Logic Numa X GT. How the action and feel of the keys of this piano compared to the Kawai VPC1 & MP11se also it’s good as triggering? Thanks! 🙏 ❤

Hi. I've never owned a VPC1, but I did own an MP11SE in the past. However, it's been too long ago for me to compare them in any meaningful way now. I'm always keeping an eye out to see if Kawai will update the VPC1. If they stop using the slip tape and update their pedal unit, I'd be interested in acquiring that updated version (VPC2?).

I find middle c itself rather dull or dead; I don’t know if it is the sample or my setup?

@@townnet It's a nice piano. A bit big, bulky, and expensive for just a midi controller which is what I was using it as. The internal speakers were ok but nowhere near as good as the Genelecs I currently have. The internal speakers with the multi-channel sampling was good for using the internal sounds which I never used. There were a few other factors as well that had nothing to do with the piano.

Thanks David, it seems the same to me. It is a pity, as it would be a nice piano if it was better in the middle range

I agree. It says in the description on the VSL website that one of the octaves was modified with a "brand-new hammer row" early in the life of this instrument. I wonder what octave was modified. I suspect it's the octave that I pointed out because it's the only one that doesn't seem to resonate like the rest of the piano. It was probably modified to suite the owner's desire. That's my guess anyways. I'd like to have heard it before the modification.
