“The scale is evil and just leave her alone”. 😂 you’re so correct. I’m 3 1/2mo post op and only get on the scale once a week. The stalls are definitely depressing. My hair is thinning around the front edges also ☹️. Hopefully this stage passes soon. Thank you for sharing. Great video.

Thank you for doing these videos :) I’m currently almost 4 months in and I have been stalled at the exact same weight for the last 3 weeks and have only lost about 30lbs so far (seems like I should be further) and it’s been driving me insane and I’ve been feeling really discouraged about it.. but learning about the slider foods & water intake was super helpful for me to change my mindset and motivate me again ❤

Thank you so much for this video my VSG surgery is scheduled for December 2022 and I have not only one sweet to but probably four or five no meal is complete unless I have something sweet behind it. Whenever I go on a cruise or vacation I literally pig out I don't know what it is about the water or being around a pool but it's like I eat so much I just make myself sick and it's weird because I don't have a bad relationship with food. Just when I'm on vacation. I am so excited and looking forward to the future my next vacation is scheduled after my surgery in March of 2023 your videos definitely give me so much hope and I'm so excited for you and your journey.

one advise i can give to anyone doing the vsg surgery, be as strict ass possible the first 6 months to a year. like literally cut everything of and only eat what u are suppose to eat. i lost more than 150 pounds my first year bc of discipline. right now i'm almost at my second year post op and i'm more lenient, i eat watherver i want within range ofcourse, i go to the gym 5 times a week. and i just live a normal live

I agree to an extent . I think being too strict can backfire for some people . I more so think people should learn how to have a healthy relationship with food where they eat healthy most of the time but are able to eat things that aren’t “ healthy “ in moderation . Looking at food as good or bad is what ends up causing people to “treat themselves “ with something bad on special occasions and then over do it .

@@karensandiego yeah true, i agree. Everybody needs to do what works for them. With me i was just always bigger. Even as a baby, i never really had an unhealthy relationship with food. I worked out before surgery very intensly so nothing about my lifestyle really changed that much, except for trading carbs with protein

Definitely smaller but the cup sized went up way more than I thought. I'm with you on the sweets. I had a huge sweet truth but not anymore. I stopped craving them during the liquid diet.

I wonder why sugary drinks and other things can make VSG patients nauseous if it only removes part of the stomach. That's so interesting that taste buds and cravings can change when the only thing different is the stomach is smaller.
