This song is very unique for me. It is the antithesis of what music teenagers are supposed to enjoy these days. I love it, but I am 66 years old !! Gert obviously loves it and he is only 19 !! Thank God that He has given Gert talent enough to play it so beautifully and lovingly. And, thank you Gert for all the practicing that you do to improve your craft.

Live a long life Gert. Your music is giving me great joy in my retirement years. Stirring!!

This hymn is so very beautiful. The first time I heard it was Your arrangement of it on Your new "Reprise" album. I want so badly to get the printed music for this. I cannot find it anywhere here or on the internet. Now I have been listening to some Dutch vocals of the same. It tears me up every time I hear it. My heart aches when I listen to it. I think we all seek the Peace of God in this world. I know I do. God bless You Gert for bringing this Hymn to me. Joseph in Milwaukee.

Gert, je bent een sfeermaker achter het orgel. Je drukt je gevoel uit met je spel. Je doet dit met een romantisch klankidioom en veelal volle akkoorden. Dat spreekt velen aan. Je spel doet me aan KJ Mulder denken. Die kon ook goed sfeeer maken met akkoorden. Ikzelf zal het mooi vinden als je in de toekomst ook vanuit de traditionele vormen gaat improviseren, bijvoorbeeld een duo, trio of fuga.

Beste Gert, Met genoegen blijf ik luisteren naar je orgelspel in dit nummer. De ingehouden power in het begin, de kracht die later naar buiten komt en tot slot weer de ingetogenheid. Magnifiek! Het blijft mij pakken en ontroeren, het raakt mij tot op het diept van mijn Zijn. Thanks!

Bedankt wat een mooie uitzending

Wow! Jij maakt van dit in 1974 door mij geschreven eenvoudige liedje een magistraal orgelwerk... Heel bijzonder. Ondanks het magistrale blijft de vrede van God doorklinken. Mooi om te horen en je aan het werk te zien. En gezien de reacties bij dit filmpje zegen je er heel veel mensen mee. Ik wens je veel vrede van God!

Gert, you are very talented organ player! You should come over to Riga and play the Dome organ some day as well as meet local players!

Dit is wat mij betreft je beste improvisatie. Een geweldige vertolking van 602. Bijzonder mooi geregistreerd ook (waarom geen registranten eigenlijk...?). Zó moet wat mij betreft een orgel bespeeld worden. Voor mij is het mooiste en meest verrassende deel 5.38-6.12. Invloeden van Widor, Guilmant, Eilander en Asma zijn hoorbaar, maar het is helemaal je eigen invulling. Complimenten Gert!
