VQ Beechcraft Baron Flight 4 & 5

Flight #4 & #5 of the VQ Beechcraft Baron. I didn't have someone available to film the flights, so this is a combined video of these two flights from an onboard cabin camera view and from a GoPro hat cam.
New Robart retracts installed for these flights however still have some issues. The struts are not staying secure and the wheels seem to struggle with the weight of the plane. I could also tell there was reduced power on these flights I am assuming from the additional weight of the Robart retracts.

FPV view was great. Looks like she flies predictably. Good job!

Beautiful plane! Very nice flight and landing. Could you tell me what motors and props you were using? Thanks.

Tom, I'm setting up my VQ Beechcraft Baron now. This is my first twin electric, how exactly did you set up power from the 2 ESC's to the receiver? Are you using a separate battery for the receiver & servos? Do you have safety motor arming switches? Thanks

Hey Jim, in my set up (which is just one method for this plane) the two ESC battery leads are "Y" together to a single connection to one battery. The receiver leads are also "Y" together to one connection to the receiver. When you "Y" together the receiver leads from 2 ESCs, you have to disconnect one of the red power wires to the Y connection so that you do not have power going back to the ESC. There are several KZread videos on how to correctly do this. My one flight battery services both the receiver and servos and motor. I did have a seperate 2 cell battery for the Robart retract system. I do not use safety motor arming switches becasue I utilize a throttle safe switch on my controller. Hope your set up and maiden go well. I unfortuantely lost my Baron on a day that I crashed two planes after I discovered a signal issue with my radio. I may order another one again some day. Good luck.
