Best song of the night. They managed to fit synth pop, prog metal, heavy metal, a singalong chorus and a guitar/synth duet into just 3 minutes. The fact that they acheived this without sacrificing the quality of the music is testiment to the quality of the band and the songwriting. Deserved to win!

My heart is both with Sweden and Australia, this time I really thought this one was better and the winner was a bit boring. it's all subjective though and I guess rock does not generally go far in Eurovision. happy for the cool song though, and they did australia proud.

Another lover of 🇦🇺 & 🇸🇪 here. Relatively new fan of ESC. Not complaining but HOW DID Australia become a part of this European contest???? 😳🌀😵

Australia deserved so much better this year. Great song and easily the best live performance. Anyway, let's look at the positives. 1. Voyager are a real band. It's not like they needed Eurovision. 2. Many of us didn't know them before (how is that possible). So we got to meet this awesome band and we are definitely going to be following them into the future. Hope they get to perform live here in Portugal someday. 3. Glad we gave them the 12 points they deserved. Be proud Australia, these guys were the real deal. See you next year. Keep rockin' 🤘😝🤘

I was so shocked Portugal and Iceland gave 12 points to Australia. I thank them for doing so, this performance was the missing piece out of all the entries!

Coming from a Serbian ESC fan🇷🇸 : 1. Probably the best backing vocalist of all time (switching falsetto, growl, scream while playing the bass, like dude, which planet are you from?) 2. Amazing guitarist who is headbanging with her glasses on without them falling off, takes a really special talent for that xD I could never 3. Awesome drummer! What a pro! As well as the other guitarist. 4. A confident frontman with an interesting vocal and colour of voice (reminiscent of 80s new wave bands, e.g. Simon LeBon). When I found out he is a lawyer I almost passed out. Like, dude, how do you have time for anything? He must have cloning ability. XD This is like a perfect concoction for a pro band. I have literally nothing bad to say about them. Well done guys.

This song is truly impressive! It incorporates a phenomenal metal section that clearly demonstrates the band's origins in the genre. Furthermore, it showcases their remarkable adaptability in exploring other music styles. In addition, the pre-chorus "Cross my heart til the sky turns red in the sunrise" sung by Alex Canion sounds absolutely fantastic and incredibly melodic. In addition, the guitar solo and brilliant synth response in this song are outstanding. The seamless combination of these elements adds an extra layer of sweetness to the track. It's unfortunate the jurors overlooked many aspects, leaving the band underrated. A huge congrats VOYAGER - you are undeniably winners in any case!

The guitar solo is exactly what Eurovision needs more of.

To all Australians unhappy with the televote: Please don't think Europe didn't like Voyager. WE LOVE THEM!!🤩Check again the arena's reaction complaining. It's simply because the televote was dramatically concentrated on the main favourites (above all Sweden and Finland) It has been a disaster for many other countries which were favourites too (literally a bloodbath!) This has been probably the most shocking Eurovision I have ever seen and everyone is speechless. All my friends and family were automatically converted when they saw Voyager live, they loved them! Also remember that you have won the 2nd semi final, that says everything! You should be extremely happy and proud of your result :)

I truly enjoyed this performance, they are just so AMAZING, their attitude and charisma are insane. Australia is once again in the final and I'm so happy about that ❤️🇦🇺

Positively surprised by the jury, disappointed with the public vote. I really thought this could be very successful with the viewers. But overall a good result for Australia and two electrifying performances from Voyager. In my feelings, they represented their country with the right mixture of joy and competitiveness. The retro-futuristic staging with the gloomy backdrop in blue and red was very elevating for this song. And they had the most impactful dance break of the evening 🇩🇪🤜🤛🇦🇺

@@bartoni79 the heavy guitar distortion is what makes something metal rather than rock; and 'progressive' describes the progression and journey the music takes through different themes, styles and elements. There tends to be some rather technical musicianship within the music too. You are probably familiar with Pink Floyd who are a progressive rock act. I was so stoked to hear Voyager were playing Eurovision. I was really curious to how the world would react to prog metal, and coming 9th (although I would have loved to have seen them higher) was a great achievement, especially for a less mainstream music genre.

Contract is expired. The price for countries like Australia have been increased by quite a bit. I'm not sure that we will be coming back. Also, the fact that this is 'Euro' and not outside the European sphere is a part of tis decision, will seal our fate. There are many that want this to be Euro and not International. As an Aussie, I understand that. We had a pretty good run, though.

Alan Gray, it's quite interesting you say that, Pendulum is from the same city as Voyager. If you listen to the Perth band Karnivool, you will hear similar vibes as well. I think Perth really has a distinctive sound to its live music and the city fosters some of the best Australian music imo.

Same here! Never watched Eurovision but since it was being hosted here in the UK I decided to give it a go. My first vote went to them!

I cast a vote in any type of contests for the first in my life... Voted for them 🤘 God what a song, the fact they condensed so much styles in 3 minutes with such class, makes this song a masterpiece.

I loved Australia's song this year! Saw them live at the semi finals and thought their vocals were fab! I put through a couple of votes for them last night, so it was such a shame to see them get so few from the public overall - they deserved so much more! As anyone who appreciates real talent would have been shocked and amused by such a low score. As an Aussie I sadly think we have just become accustomed to being insulted at Eurovision and realise that we will never get a fair go as we are just not apart of Europe 😂Maybe next year we should send Vanessa Amorosi.

@@stephenmarshall1918 Well, this year voting was especially weird so I think your song was appreciated by many people. The result just didn't reflect it but it was same with many songs. I wouldn't take it seriously. They were surprised when they saw it like everyone else cause they know Eurovision well & they knew the song was good enough for the contest. Don't change your Eurovision style. I think you have lots of quality in your music. This year's song of yours was in my top 5 :)

Most underated song of eurovision 2023

People are debating whether Sweden or Finland was the worthy winner and no one is even talking about how these guys literally managed to fit about 5 different genres into one song and fucking slayed it live. Australia deserved to win this year and it's so unfair that they scored so low!!!

I met the lead singer today!!! He is SO awesome!

This was my favourite song this year. I was so surprised it didn't get way more points from the public. I'll be following the band closely from now on.

at the end of the day top 10 and winners of 2nd semi final is something worth celebrating. if this is our last year in eurovision im happy it was this song, even if this is my 1st year getting super into it. the fact the music video was recorded in basically my backyard makes it even more special, best of luck for the future voyager!!

What a jubilantly optimistic song. Brilliantly soaring vocals (both lead and backing). Loved the stage set and graphics. A truly stunning performance overall. Voyager utterly smashed it.
