Austrians, PLEASE don't let the low televote score discourage you. You had a great entry that had a lot of potential. For those who don't know it: The number they say (0.003) is the money spotify artist receive per stream. They decided this after an agreement with Universal, so that refers to the lyric "Girl call Universal, you're about to be a star" In general the theme of the song is very critical against the music industry, espacially against not mentioning the names of ghost writers. Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer (That tried to make ends meet with it). They're singing "There's a ghost in my body", meaning they're possessed by him and that he is literally ghost writing this song.

So,...when was the last time you bought a CD or a vinyl record from a band you like?...or merchandise etc.? Btw. the song sucked some serious dick. I was ashamed for being Austrian when I heard it. A generic English song. Forgettable at best. Some of the other countries at least brought a little bit of their own culture and language into their performance. This is what Eurovision is actually about. Culture, diversity and the beauty thereof. Our performance was shameful and the score reflected that truthfully.

The fact that this song about how musicians and music writers are mistreated by the industry and especially streaming service was at Eurovision, while im Hollywood the WGA is striking against the mistreatment of the industry and the exploitation of streaming services against screenwriters... just sublime

being the first to perform in the finale is honestly such a disservice for the artist. "Who The Hell Is Edgar?" deserved to be in the top 5 at the very least, but Europe just decided to sleep on this masterpiece. Austria, you get 12 points from me personally and I think you were the best this year 💖

The crowd sings anything that literally consists of one word that repeats itself constantly. Just look at TschaTschaTscha or La La La. In times of a twitter-esce attention span this is what people actually are able to process in 3 minutes

I meant some people can't pay as they're underage and just can't, or I saw people saying that the show doesn't accept votes from all phone operators (or however they're called).It's not always just about money, but even if it is, then what? Some people can't afford to waste money. These "couple of euros" can cost someone more than you think. For me, pretty sure my phone number operator has all kind of sms votes blocked, exactly because it's a waste of important money.

The main reason why this song got so few points from the televote was because everyone was finding out who Edgar was

2 months later, this has by far been the most replayed song on my Eurovision playlist. Great music to get you going. Much smarter lyrics than a surface listen would have you believe.

Personally I think the best song came from 2024 (that came last wtf) but all my top 5 songs from 2023 came before my 2nd favorite of 2024. This is such a banger and feel good song, we really need this again after this depressing year.

They paid the price for being first in the running order. Easily the best song of the night for me.

@@RKOEvoltution I'm truly disappointed Loreen won as I find the song generic and overproduced. Really hoped she wouldn't win. My favourite was Finland as well and voted for him. Before the semi's Finland and Austria were my favourites. I think more close ups of the dance would have worked better for Austria but I'm no connoisseur, I just think it's a missed chance. However you can be proud: the ladies have great voices and it's a very catchy song.

I'm from Italy and I voted for this song, it's so catchy. 1 month has passed and I'm still listening to it. I genuinely think they deserved to be in top 5, seems like Europe doesn't appreciate outsanding songs but overhype basic ballads and pop songs.

i feel that. voted for austria and france, i was shook after the public votes.

Voted for that amazing song from Turkey. And i couldn’t understand what happened next. Eurovision scoring system has to change!! Congrats Austria and thanks for such an amazing masterpiece ❤🇦🇹

Getting so little points is unjust. The song is catchy and funny, the voices are great, the girls are beautiful... But being the first to perform did a bad job for Austria... Of course, they deserved much and much more points. Ladies, ihr seid wunderschön und super talentiert❤

I think the Serbian community here in Austria was extremely proud as well for sure...

Such a catchy song and talented singers! Finding new artists from Europe is one thing I love about Eurovision.

Personally as a big victorian and gothic poetry fan, I can appreciate this song on a spiritual level

I used all my 20 votes for them and to see so little points from the audience was disappointing :(

I never thought Austria would get more jury votes than televotes. They deserve better

But What the Edgar happened to those 137 points from the semi-final ?😭

Ich finde dieses Lied einfach nur geil, und kann einige verheerende Kritiken einfach nicht nachvollziehen 🤷‍♀️. Was ich auch überhaupt nicht verstehen kann ist, daß der NDR dieses Lied nicht viel öfter spielt. Echt schade, ist einfach eine supergeile Tanznummer!!!!
