I miss Ariel's shell and the hand puppets that take away her voice! That opening music always fills me with such wonderful memories. And King Triton's trident lighting up when it was time to enter the theater? Magical!!!

Some 31 years ago this year

Part of Your World was a mess vocally😳 She wasn’t on the music at all and sang with no emotion or technique. At least the vocal talent got better over the years. I wish they updated the show’s special effects more over the years. If they did, I think the show could still be around.

Her name is Leanza Cornett, and fyi she is a model and not a singer so its a mystery why Disney hired her

Mr. Limpet from The Incredible Mr. Limpet from Warner Brothers makes a brief appearance at the end of the song Under the Sea in Disney’s The Little Mermaid released in 1989.

This show opened in 1992 and it temporarily closed down in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, effective immediately.

I saw this original version back in the summer of 95 when I was 6, the second time during my family Christmas vacation of 05 when I was a junior in high school and the final time when I was 27…..so I’m really glad I got to see it enough times before they shut it down completely……oh yeah and I did Splash Mountain at least once…..thank you all you bunch of sensitive people who don’t have to go to Disney if you think that ride was racially insensitive and ruin it for the future generations who are not gonna get to enjoy it…..Walt Disney’s time was a fantastic era.
