The Voxelab Proxima 3D Resin Printer may be the best priced Mono Resin Printer you can get right now. And if you are going to get a Resin 3D Printer you really want a Mono version. It prints great, has a VERY loyal following, but it is very loud. Like all of these printers there are pros and cons to it. In this video I go through all of those I could fine in my last two weeks of continuous use.

Thanks for the review. Just ordered one of these (will be delivered tomorrow) - i was looking at Egoo for some time but saw a few comments on reviews with genuine issues. Depending on how noisy this is, I'm hoping it will not be an issue - outputs look good. This will be my first ever 3d printer. Looking to print and paint small gaming components. Thanks for your review 👍❤

just got one of these in the mail today and its my first resin printer. ive been using fdm printers going on 2 yrs an i fell in love an ive ended up with 8 different printers, deltas, corexy an pretty much every style of cartesian printer there is or at least that i know about, but i always seen how detailed the smaller prints came out on resin printers an have always wanted one but never did it cause i was worried about the mess it would make but at this point i have a laser engraver an cnc router in the same room an ive put all my printers in enclosures so not as worried about the mess so i finally broke over an got the proxima, i havent really looked into the details of sla printing but i assume its similar enough to fdm that i should be able to pick it up pretty easy. is there a slicer for sla printers like cura is for fdm or should i stick with what comes with the printer. i got mine on the desk right now an a bottle of voxelabs standard photopolymer resin in grey an im assuming this is like the pla of resin or am i completely off on thinking this. like i said ive done zero research into resin printers an just started with this video since this was the best deal i found. seemed to be the biggest build volume and cheaper than most. i guess my biggest question is what the best slicer to use or is it proprietary and can only use the slicer that it came with?

i got my proxima forever ago now, so its going on over 2 yrs old but i dont print alot of resin an its been sitting for the past yr without being used an i only used it for a couple projects an im needing to use it again now an its been so long since ive messed with it i thought id refresh my memory with a few videos. the voxelab brand is just a sister company to flashforge so all the earlier machines was just a reskin of the flashforge resin machines but they are the budget line of printers while not being under the flashforge name, but they are the best quality printers u can buy at the price points. even the aquila out does the ender 3 machines an i think was a big part of why creality came out with the s1 line of printers. but love my voxelab printers even if ive only used one of them a very little.

I'm super happy with mine after a week. It's just performed flawlessly from the get go. I was sceptical of the textured buildplate (having sanded similar off my Mars) but it holds really well and it actually lets go of the print really easily once you get a pallette knife under the edge. I have it running at 180 lift and retraction, left it at 60 for the bottom layers. Incredible value for £181. It is very noisy as you said, though. I already immediately turned the beeper off as soon as I heard it. :D I was thinking about dampers or a different motor. Did you ever install your dampers and if so did it quiet the beast?

Levelling - check, resin - Elegoo Plant based resin (translucent green), applied wD40 on the FEP, Cleaned the build plate with ethyl alchohol and let it dry. Still nothing. Feeling sad if this was a terrible investment. I am not complaining about Voxelab but about the whole SLA resin printing coz it is still a tricky business.
