I actually started doing everything in my life to minimize the amount of ad b******* I have to deal with. Canceled cable, then I canceled the streaming services, then I started using ad blockers,... You get the picture. After a while it just makes you want to punch the sign twirler on the street corner. 😅

depends on what the goals of the players are. at high end, weak links are mostly exposed. I've seen groups actually contemplated replacing them or just disbanding after weeks of no progress/regression

@@Significantpower In Survivor a tie vote is IIRC usually handled by everyone voting one more time but you have to vote for one of people involved in the tie this time (so no voting for Alan for example) and I believe the people on the chopping block cannot vote. If there happens to be a second tie that's when it gets wild, and the rules have changed from season to season, but a quick google search says that now they have to have an open forum and come to a unanimous decision or the tables turn and now the people were on the chopping block are now immune and the people were unable to make a decision now have to draw rocks to find out which one of them is now gone as a punishment for not making a decision. So hypothetically if this scenario had played out further, if Rowan, Ben, and Hamish all voted for Hamish, and Elle, Brit, and Alan all voted for Rowan, then Rowan and Hamish would be on the chopping block and Elle, Brit, Alan, and Ben would go back to vote one more time for Rowan or Hamish. This would pretty much guarantee Rowan was voted out if no one changed their vote, but for the sake of funsies, lets say Alan just wants to watch the world burn and flips his vote to Hamish, making it 2-2 and a tie once more as Elle and Brit vote for Rowan and Ben and Alan vote for Hamish. Elle, Brit, Alan, and Ben all have an open discussion now about who should go home between Rowan and Hamish, and they have to come to a unanimous decision or it's time for the bag of rocks, but Ben stays true to his homie and Brit is way too angry at Rowan to budge either so the group can't come to a decision. Now Rowan and Hamish are safe and Elle, Brit, Alan, and Ben all have to draw from a bag of rocks and whoever draws the unlucky rock is the one that is now eliminated. Ben draws the rock, says the thing "Outrageous!" and poofs.

Hamishs' acting is amazing. He can make me feel genuinely empathic to him. Or have true fear when he actually gets angry. Well done Hamish!

I mean, it was obvious Alan and the girls were angry at Rowan, but then Alan's paper was covered and there was part of me expecting a shock twist that he had voted differently, so yeah, part of me did expect either Hamish to go,or perhaps both him and Rowan booted 'cause Alan voted for someone else, probably Ben.

I swear Baradun is probably my favorite character from Epic NPC Man Adam plays him so perfectly

I'm sure Baradun spent a lot of time watching real world shows to find new ways to mock players 😂 And it turned out great!

Baradun finally got his own minigame.

And so Hamish played a jolly tune to heal Baradun's spirit, and they lived happily ever after. The end.

I like to think Hamish and Baradun had a nice night of campfire discussion and some music after the end

I HAVE seen this happen, many times, when the person yelling the most initiated a vote kick, it fails, and then another immediately happens voting THEM off. And it almost always succeeds.

I think the funniest I've seen was the healer voting up the tank first in a toxic 3 stacked party with the reason "Noob healer", with the other people in their 3 queue not checking who had actually been voted and accidentally voting off their friend, then keeping them in combat until a new tank got found and they couldn't win a BS kick vote anymore.

1) Force all players to sit through the entire thing, including at least two unskippable commercial breaks which are actual ads from sponsors (bonus revenue) unless all players but the votekicker and votekickee choose to veto the vote, in which case normal gameplay resumes. On subsequent unsuccessful attempts by the same player to votekick the same target, a warning will be issued, followed by an immediate kick. 2) Force all players who participate in a successful vote to kick to fill out a survey with a few simple 1-5 star questions, like how fair was this vote in your opinion, did you think the votekicker abused this feature, yada yada. 3) Have people who vote to kick unsuccesfully repeatedly and whose vote was considered unfair have a badge show up on their profile prominently, outing them to other players as bad team players, and effectively ostaracizing them from normal play. To prevent burner account abuse, each account should need verification via playing a certain number of hours as well as completing at least one raid with other players before they are allowed to initiate a vote to kick.

Honestly if all games had an option like this we'd probably never get anywhere but it would be interesting.

If this was how kicking worked in games, I certainly would vote to kick more often.

Flashbacks to 2009 WoW -> raid leader to the obviously new to tanking Bear druid he's paired with, "How high is your dodge rating?" -> leader has removed Bear from the raid. -> "Not high enough."

Wasn't expecting Baradun to be the host... Adds yet another layer of nuance to the characters in addition to the D&Ds.

Hamish was an absolute evil mastermind. Made people feel had for him so there's no way they could kick him

Tanks and healers are the hardest to replace and they are always the ones who get kicked. I love how the party disbanded after they kicked someone. In my experience, that's how it usually goes.

"Tank tries to vote out the Healers because that is what always happens!" The guy seems to forget the DPS complaining about the tanks as they want to do more damage than needed and the tank can't Aggro adds and boss at once! Or the healers complaining about DPS because they can't avoid basic damage and he basically loose MP and Spells to heal them.

You've never seen a tank aggro adds/mobs and the boss at once? What the heck are you playing? Every mp game has some sort of taunt feature that grabs everyone in a certain radius. Place the tank at the right spot, or if the tank is just running through trying to show off or get it done quick but not complete (which happens a LOT), and the tank DOES aggro just about everything in the cell at once.

This is brilliant and genius! Combining those darn TV shows with a vote to kick - I love it! And the scoffing that Ben does had me choking on my tea (really shouldn't drink or eat while watching these...) AND the incredibly lengthy, suspenseful pause from Baradun, chef's kiss, perfectly dramaticized. Y'all are awesome. :)

A cliffhanger to put a commercial (one of your ads obviously!) just like the TV show Survivors would have made the illusion so perfect! Still is hilarious that even though Rowan got some karma back, Hamish still ends up being the butt of the joke!

The back and forth scoffing had me dying!

It would've been hilarious if Ben was acting all supportive of Rowan, but secretly voted against him. 🤣

I like the satire aspect of this, and what usually happens is everyone leaving after the vote anyways.

Wow! They really nailed it with the small details! The camera shake and quick zooms like in all of these programs, the cheap low FPS slow mo. Perfect! Also kicking it with the subtitles on this one!

I was 100% expecting Hamish to get kicked. I thought Alan's vote going to pull a twist and say "Yea, sorry, you were just really bad as the healer. Sorry bro." Glad to be wrong and see that he was still a voice of reason.

was once in a WoW random pug as the tank where someone went AFK for longer than expected and the vote to kick came up I was all set to vote to kick when one of the other players called the AFK person a racial slur, so I voted against the kick and dropped out of the group, knowing that the other players would be waiting hours for another tank

Oh, that tank voting out the healer, always. It's even better when you inspect the tank, and they are stated out for DPS. No mitigation stats whatsoever, obvious leveling gear. Shit you not, Heroics and the dude still had ungeared greens going on, which is fine until you're pulling three rooms, and the boss, and acting like it's the healer's fault they can't keep up. And I'm not the healer! I tossed out an LoH to try and save this, you scrub.

This could become an entire series!! I love it.

These are always awesome! I love their D&D campaign. I just wish they were longer. Thank you for all the hard work on all that you guys do.

I really like the life lesson: if you try to exclude someone, it's you who will be excluded!

My dog died two weeks ago. In that time I have watched nothing but Viva La Dirt League video's and frankly they are one of the few things that have kept me going. So thank you one and all. Laughter is indeed the best medicine.
