Anything done to the rear end?

This is the wife's "show car" and the rear end is pretty much stock. Stock 28 spline (5-lug axles), LSD, 3.55 gear, and LPW aluminum cover with cap supports, but we have 31 spline axles and differential in stock and waiting to be installed.

@@KingJT80 I've actually had better luck with the stock LSD diff over the Eaton diff. Back in like 2000, I replaced a good stock LSD with an Eaton and the brand-new Eaton would intermittently pull a one-wheeler, so I have been using spools ever since then. If you are building a 331, I would use some Trick Flow 11R 205cc, AFR205, or AFR225 with a healthy cam! If you are using an aftermarket block, I would go with a big bore 347 (4.125" bore with a 3.25" stroke crank). That way you can get a good compression height on the pistons without having the rings intersect the wrist pin, so you have better oil control and it should last longer.

302 with Vortech S-Trim, "slightly ported" Twisted Wedge heads, Parker Funnel Web intake, stock cam, Holley 90* elbow, 75mm throttle body, 80lb injectors, Holley HP EFI, C4 w/ transbrake, and 3.55 gear. With a bigger cam, it would pick up a LOT of power. These heads flow around 280-290cfm above .500-.600+ lift. and I think they only flow around 230-240cfm at peak lift with the stock cam. After snapping the crank in my 347, I wanted to see how fast it would go with this setup in a 302 with a stock cam, so I could see how much of a difference a cam swap would make, but I still haven't swapped the cam because I enjoy driving it more than working on it! 🤣

@@kirbyvanduzer6565 It honestly doesn't bother me what engine powers a Foxbody! We also have a big block Ford nitrous engine in our other car. The gray car is the wife's streetcar/show car. I like them all even the LS-powered Mustangs. I mean, wasn't the LS originally supposed to be for Ford? I know you can bolt a SBF head onto an LS block, so they are basically family and an updated version of the SBF! We race with Mustangs that have all sorts of engines and one guy has an old-school Dodge 440" engine in his son's Foxbody, but it's a grudge car so I have no idea how many cubic inches it really is. Here's a short video of our red car with the Big Block Ford kzread.info/dash/bejne/nHWBvJd_ddmXisY.html

@@foxbodyfunnyfarm6373 the ls engine was designed by Ford but they dropped the engine because of it was an unreliable design and they dropped it but being the dumpster diver Chevy is they picked it up so the ls is not a Ford engine at all Chevy puts very cheap and terrible parts in it they literally put soda cans for pistons in them and mechanical crank it’s horribly built that’s why you find them in the junkyard all the time because people get tired of rebuilding them Chevy does make some good products but not crate engines their trucks are good but their crate engines are terrible but however Ford does have problems too their vehicles are having problems except for the Mustang of course but they make the most reliable and powerful crate engines out there I’ll admit every brand has something they are better at than others some make better crate engines than vehicles some make better vehicles than crate engines so I give credit when it’s due

@@kirbyvanduzer6565 - that's what I was saying when I said it's pretty much a Ford engine. I read years and years ago that it was designed for Jack Roush but then he (or Ford) dropped it for the Modular platform, which was junk IMO (I had a 1998 Mustang with a Procharged 4.6L and it barely went in the 12s with all of the supporting mods). I tried finding the article about the LS engine being a Ford design that was dropped, to send it to someone, but I was unable to find it. If you know where I can find that information I would appreciate it. I don't agree when you say the LS is junk because I know a lot of people who took one from the junkyard and put it into a Mustang and they fly. My one buddy put a junkyard 6.0L with stock heads that had a valve job, an intake, carb, and cam and it ran 10.30s on motor and high 8s on nitrous. I know even more that put turbos on them and run in the 7s with a stock bottom end. I've tried doing that with a Ford 302 and it's just not possible. The LS heads have good airflow and the shortblocks seem to hold up to a lot more power than the stock 5.0 block and rotating assembly. I don't like the standard SBC design because of the two exhaust valves share a cylinder wall. Whoever designed that should've been fired. It just seems like a problem to have that much heat on each side of the cylinder wall from adjoining cylinders, and probably why that design isn't found in the BBC engines. I just like high-horsepower engines, regardless of the brand, or what they are installed in!

Really!? You have to put oil under the tires to make them spin. Nice 4 cyl.
