In Part 2, Ọnuọra Abụah travels to Togo (West Africa) to learn more about the Vodun spiritual system and of how Europeans have turned it into a thing of evil.
His journey begins at Kamina and Wahala where WW1's first casualties are found. Onuora then heads south to the enslavement house at Agbodrafo before meeting a Vodun priest near Lomé. Onuora concludes the trip with a visit to a Vodun market. What he learns is Voodoo is really just "Good Magic"

If you're an African at home or in the diaspora and this doesn't make you angry and sick to the stomach, then you're not African. To make it worse there are so many of us who are still waiting for the same enemy to come down in the clouds with blonde hair and blue eyes to save us.

I get what you're saying and it is sad that so many cultures were destroyed and so many people were treated like less than what they were. But, Jesus is dark complected. Dark skin, dark hair, dark eyes. His image was jsut tampered with to fit peoples personal bias or aesthetic or whatever. And yes I am the jackass that corrects people for no reason

Man, up to 75% of blacks here in America are Christian. Almost all of us have no idea where we're actually from. There's a rising number leaving Christianity but instead adopting the title Hebrew israelite in its place. We're culturally and spiritually lost over here with no idea how to get out. On top of that, the majority doesn't want to. So yes, I'm fully pissed. Almost to the point of rage.

I get angry whenever I’m reminded how the Germans, French, Spaniards, had the nerve to go to Africa and America and takeover a land that was NEVER theirs to begin with...I will never reason or attempt understand why...I really enjoy learning the history of our ancestors, but sadly at times I would rather remain ignorant because I get so disgusted and angry about the truth

@purplefashion03 Except you're employing racism to eradicate racism. Ergo, there must be a better way. Moreover, it's highly ironic that the title of this video is "Voodoo in Togo" considering voodoo isn't just limited to trans-spatial torture, but also puppeteering.

I am forever grateful for this documentary about Vodun, Togo, Benin, Dahomey, Allada, Ouidah and other important West African territories. I learned in 2019 my Paternal Ancestors hail from Adja-Tado and after migration resided in Porto-Novo, Benin. It has been a challenge like no other to get the 20th and 21st century relatives to understand how to build sustainable relations based on truths which will eventually lead to trust. I shared with them the story of Mary Turner of the book titled "Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome" and all of them cried. I informed the only way to heal is to learn of the dehumanization tactics of the colonizers, have an understanding of what our ancestors experienced once disembarking in my case Charleston, South Carolina at the Mart. I am going to share this video with them immediately. Ire o.

Nice Job man... I am an EWE and I have knowledge about the ancient history of Africa... Togo is the Holy Land and not Israel, because Togo is where everything started from but the Europeans have succeeded in misleading us and also have caused confusions between brothers and sisters in the West African Regions... Places like DANHOME, and large part of ILE IFE were part of Togo and so was the Volta Region of Ghana ( Which was formally know as the British Togo). Today, all these places had been taken away from Togo as a result of the enmity and the hatred that the Western Ancestors created between the West African Brothers, Which led to Hostilities, Confusions, Deaths and Land claiming battles and so on, all across the West African Regions. Peaceful kingdoms were rising against each other. The famous battle between the great (Kinngdom of Ashanti and the Ancient Oyo Kingdom/Empire) took place in Ife Togo also known as Atakpame, and if you go to IFE TOGO you'll meet large number of people who speaks Ife and their Brothers are the Yoruba people of Nigeria. Togo was once a colony of Portugal, Denmark, Belgiun, Britain, Germany before France and Togo is the Benchmark for all Technologies, as the first Technology ever to be built by human was built in Togo. I can go on and on but I'll stop here. Bro, I'll implore you to do more research about (IFE TOGO) if you are thinking about digging deep into Togo's history I am of Togolese/ Ghanaian/Nigerian Heritage and I have experienced life in most of Western nations as I have also lived in Israel for three years and as I am talking to you I'm in America and I can tell you that there's no country in the world that can compare with Togo in terms of Nature, Endowment Hospitality, Spirituality and Cultural Richness. Many parts of the bible scriptures were inspired by and written about the ancient culture and the spirituality of the Ewe people, and Ewe is aciently known as EVE or Eveò. You are doing such an amazing job bro, thank you for making Africa proud.

@@MaNu-fs1ob The traditional name is "Vodun". Animisim is an english word so therefore cannot be indigenous. It also refers to a worship or reverence of animals which If a and Vodun certainly are not. "Voodoo", as explained in the doc, is an exaggerated Europeanised version of the word Vodun. It is also interesting to point out that the majority of us Africans no little about our culture or languages, that hadn't been vetted by our respective "colonisers".

B B Yes Indeed!!Vodun was born in Benin and is practiced in many areas of West Africa including Togo. IFA is practiced predominantly among the Yoruba in Nigeria. Also our traditions are heavy in the Caribbean and in Brazil especially-considering that 50% of our ppl that were kidnapped from Africa were brought to Brazil. In the US we retained our traditions by hiding it behind Catholicism(the Saints) and Christianity, which gave birth to Santeria, Lukumi, Hoodoo and more... Peace n Blessings to you on your spiritual journey.🙏🏽
