Its amazing how Volvo car engineers comes up with the most ridiculous ways in which to install bulbs of which are either hard to find, hard to purchase and hard to replace. The turn signal bulb requires a Sylvania Osram 12356 part number bulb or equivalent but good luck finding a retailer that sells one or a Keller equivalent bulb. Aliexpress has them but they may have a shipping fee attached as do most other online sellers with replacement bulbs to sell. Why the old 1156 or 1157 twist replacement bulbs no longer employed is a mystery that may be connect to their profit margins.

Brilliant job. well done. But can you provide the "industry" name or the common number of the generic bulb (NOT Volvo Part #). I want to upgrade and replace this bulb with an LED, but it seems Volvo wants to keep aftermarket parts and upgrades to minimum. It's insanely stupid that you have to do ALL this just to replace a stupid BULB. What are you thinking Volvo??!!

Replacing a backup bulb on a Volvo is much the same although I don't understand why Volvo finds it necessary to change the bulb types for almost every bulb in the car.
