Greetings. I wanted to ask why the school bus, being in the left lane, opened the door twice? How do I understand that at the intersection with the railway, this is how it is supposed to be done in the USA?

Hey Sergey. Yes, every school bus have to stop before every railroad 🛤️ and do the same procedure like it’s doing picking up kids, which is stop, turn on the flashing red lights, put the STOP signs out on the left side of the bus and open the door. During this procedure, no other vehicle is allowed to pass or overtake the school bus. School bus have to be clear from all sides till turns off all the red lights and close the door.

@@HalfThrottleTom In our cities, in every microdistrict, as a rule, there is a school within walking distance. I went to school, which was 200 meters from home))). In rural areas, our children are transported by school buses, but according to our traffic rules, they drive like ordinary vehicles. But during technical inspection they are checked with special care.

@@Sergey_Bryansk I was growing up in small city in Poland, and I think it was similar what you guys have. We had 2 elementary schools in the city, both within walking distance. But we had a lot of sidewalks. Here in US, is really hard to get anywhere walking.
