Good preventative maintenance saves a lot of money down the road. And, a driver who cares about his truck. I’ve heard drivers say that they treat company trucks as if they owned it. No. Treat the truck like your grandmother owns it and you have to borrow it.

Hi Tom. Do tires for single rear axle rims differ greatly in price from regular tires? In our country, such wheels are not widely used.

Hi Sergey. I think price wise, one super single tire cost about the same as 2 regular tires. For example, my Michelin X-One Line Grip 445/50 R22.5 cost around $1600, when one Michelin 275/80 R225 cost around $800. Here in the states super singles are popular, but I don’t think people like them. Especially owner operators 😀. So in Russia you mostly use dual tires? Even on trailers? In Europe, I think most of semi trailers have 3 axles with super singles on it. But tractor have duals on the drive axle.

@@HalfThrottleTom In Russia, trailers are mostly European, or made by us, but they are made according to the European design, with three axles at the back, with one wheel per side. There are also ones like yours, where the axles have paired wheels on each side, but there are fewer of them than the European type. And on tractors there are almost 100% paired wheels on the drive axles.

@@Sergey_Bryansk Sergey, I’m just curious. What brand of tires do you use most often in Russia. We use a lot of well known Big brands tires, but I’ve seen many trucks using Chinese tires as well. I wonder how is in your country.

@@HalfThrottleTom I have Chinese tires brand "Aeolus" on my rear axles. On the front axle there are some tires from Slovenia, I don’t remember the brand. On the trailer is the Russian brand "Kordiant". Some people ride on tires from well-known brands, but Chinese tires are gaining more and more popularity. If not the cheapest, then they are of normal quality. On my car I also have Chinese tires brand "Delinte". Excellent tires for the price.
