    On the Euro 3 D5's, as you got in the video, the EGR is electronically controlled by the ECM. The EGR vavle sits over the EGR cooler right next to the exhaust manifold.

    Sveiks, arī tāds pats volvo, problēma sekojoša: kad piedarbina aukstu motoru viss ir kārtībā turbīna sāk pūst apmēram pie ~1300 rpm un sasniedz max spiedienu pie ~1800 rpm, bet kad motors uzsilst turbīna sāk pūst tikai pie 2000 rpm un jebkuros apgriezienos ir lielāka turbo bedre nekā aukstam motoram. Kur meklēt vainu?

    Great video. I don`t get it, why cap off the EGR, just fix the damd thing instead, no problem after this. Clean it or change it, don`t take short cuts. You will also end up with wrong Co2 % on tests. There are a reason for it to exist.

    эта ошибка указывает на передув турбины, вся проблема в электромагнитном клапане управления вакуумом, который управляет геометрией турбины

    I dont get it. Mine does the same thing. You said when egr normaly working there should be nothing coming out so when should egr valve open?

    Hi Modrix. I have XC70 AWD 2006, D5 diesel. I have real problem! My EGR valve has been blocked out and capped off. The cat converter taken out. The car goes really well for 3 miles then l hear a air gushing noise from the engine and when l put on more acceleration the engine hesitates then goes off like a rocket. The problem gets worse as the journey goes on. Several mechanics have failed to cure the problem. In the last few months it has had a new turbo actuator, new inter cooler pipe and inter cooler, née mass air flow sensor. The engine has been properly Serviced including all filters. Six years ago the engine was mapped to boost bower to 215 bhp Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Andrew

    On an ECU or electrically controlled EGR, you usually cannot just blank or cap off the EGR without getting it tuned or mapped out of the ECU.

    @@Sparky_Sct The egr has been both mapped out and capped. I did get an after market maf sensor but have been told l have to get the genuine Volvo part. The dash is now showing many warnings including brake failure ( yet everything works 100%). Apparently new wheel speed sensors should fix this.

    @@edepillim You cannot cap of the egr on the euro 4, remove the blank and drill a 10mm hole in the center to allow some gas exchange. The egr valve is also used to dump boost pressure into the exhaust system.

    @@warrenatkinson9294 Thank you. I took the car to a turbo specialist. Nothing wrong except that when a new actuator was fitted over a year ago, the parts were not coded to work together. This has been rectified and l no longer get this problem. A fault is detected with the MAF sensor. But this does not appear on the dashboard.
