Automann-TV i know the video is old, but a friend of mine has a fabric tuned v60 and its 265hp. Why is this only 230?? Should be atleast 300

I keep coming back to this video, I miss the sound of my V60 D5. My V90 D5 makes nasty 4 cylinder noises :c

Amazing car, love the sound.

Heck of a sound from a diesel! I like the direction these new Volvos are going in.

As far as I know Volvo resigns from 5-cylinder engines so the direction isn't so good.

yamahaevo They said the all new XC90's highest performance engine is going to be 4 cylinder hybrid, no 5, or even 6 cylinders anymore. This is gonna be a sad year. I wonder if they manage to keep the sound the way it is

Turns out they didn't. Had the pleasure of beating up a V60 D6 2,4 diesel-hybrid on the highway a month back, best-sounding engine in a long while. The 3 and 4 cylinder engines make me sad. I miss the 5 cyls.

immer wieder top deine videos, weiter so :) das auto gefällt mir auch sehr gut, volvo eben!

I have that one with full equpiment , same wheels but + Ocean Race version one that comes in "navy blue". And i got 2 boxy rear defusers and also AWD. I love the car.

The very best thing about this engine is that when its when ure doin a cold start, it sounds like a diesel V8!!

Compared to some other cars I have reviewed within the last weeks its quite affordable. You get a very extraordinary looking car with a punchy, yet fuel efficient engine, fully equipped for a very fair price! I have owned a pre-facelift S60 R-Design and was always very happy with it:-)

Very nice sound and very quick. I have watched this video a few times, it persuaded me to buy one, I now have a manual version, it's a fantastic car, I love it.

leider gibt es bald keine 5 Zylinder mehr. Farbe rebel blue passt auch bestens. wie hast du die Schweden flagge drauf gemacht ?

Is this car available in the US?

I like the style of those gloves and I really got used to them over the years. On long Autobahn trips they give you a nice feel and your hands don't even start to sweat. Beides that they give a very grippy feel to the steering wheel when driving cars quickly. Of course you don't really NEED them, but it makes those car drives even more special if you have them with you;-)

Automann-TV Well, they are stylish. Honestly, I would buy a pair if I saw some for sale. They are "gentleman gloves". Besides, that's what originally the "glove box" or "glove compartment" was for.

wikicross I remember years ago my Dad used to have driving gloves for his MG-B Roadster but kept hold of them after for a little keepsake!

Moin, by the way: Ist das nun ein originaler 215 PS-D5? Es steht auch was von Polestar dabei... Wären dann aber 230PS. :-)

Von Polestar ist nur die Farbe...Power ist Serie bei 215 PS;)

The 2014 BMW 530xd you tested is only 0.1 sec faster to 100 - shows how good this Volvo really is.Is this still the old AW 6 speed auto or has it been up-graded? I heard the new 8 speed AW auto is only for the 4 pot Drive-E engines.

Yes, I was also very impressed by the performance but of course you have to consider that the Volvo weighs almost 250 kg less, which positively influences the 0-100 time. This is still the "old" 6-speed Geartronic, as you said, the new 8-speed is currently only available for the 2.0 D4 with 181hp.

Automann-TV Thanks, will you be testing the new T5 and T6 Drive-E cars? I really like the new Volvo line-up but the Motoring Press overlook Volvo all the time. Maybe this is about to change with the new cars. V60 T5 8 speed auto looks like it will be a brilliant all-rounder.

I think the 2013 Audi A5 3.0tdi is better

I must say that although I know it's polestar optimised but it would absolutely destroy my stock V60 D5 215hp (112000km driven). I am pretty sure this car has ecu properly tuned or there's been some editing. This one goes very strong all the way to 220kmh wheres mine begins to struggle above 190kmh and will usually get stuck about 230kmh +/- 2kmh. I know that polestar is not ecu tuning its just some tweaks to power delivery resulting in very little power increase.

@@Gripengamer Usually about 6l/100km driven sensibly 120-130kmh motorway. However the trip computer is out by about 0.5l so real life consumption is nearer to 6.5l/100km

@@blacov89 Aha okey i see, i am thinking of buying this volvo modell, but the problem is that i am a extremely cheap person. Is it possible to go down to 5.0l/100km? Or is it better with the d4 engine maybe?

@@Gripengamer My is classic torque converter automatic so I'd say this is not possible to go down as low as 5.0l/100km in real life. If you are extremely careful trip computer may show such consumption but at the pump you will see you've used more fuel. Try D4 with manual gearbox and this figures should be attainable if driven carefully.

Anyone knows why d5 2.4 diesel polestar is slower than its successor 2.0 d5 stock, which is 6,5sec 0-100? What's the reason for that?

cause 2.0 D5 is FWD, not AWD

Great car, but as expensive as a BMW 530d
