Pulling that lower, tough to reach tab away from the socket, while pulling the socket with a spring hook like you showed, was the only thing that seemed to work for me. Thanks for the spring hook idea. What a pain!

Wow, this was a bit hard to figure out how to remove that bulb but thank you! Whew! They also have them in LED but an electrician once told me unless you change all your lights to LED, you might start experiencing issues, so I'll wait off. I bought the regular bulb. Thank you for this video!

You can take the whole assembly out by pulling the 2 rods at the end of the assembly, then its much easier to change the bulbs

Hello, I have 2012 and when I reinstalled the position lamp bulb the holder broke. Didn't force it simply slipped it in and it fell apart! Do you know if THAT piece can be replaced without buying the entire headlamp component?

Whether you need the wired end that holds the bulb or the whole headlamp that the bulb goes into, I recommend calling L&B Auto and see how much it is to have them send you a used one. They are the largest Volvo scrap yard in the U.S. Look them up on line and ask for Justin. Phone not email.

Remember when these cars go down the assembly line they all get brand new bulbs (made on an assembly line as well) The cycle time on the light bulbs is the same for the bulbs They will work and they will fail at the same time. I have seen this with headlights and brake lights. For both bulbs to fail at the same time is common. They use the same wire so they burn out at the same time. Just remember this when both bulbs fail.

Joe Williams 2825 was the bulb number I needed to use. Do not use 194 because that has a different voltage and wattage rating.

Both of my side markers were out and only 1 strip light was out aswell.. Very wierd

What is the diagnostic tool you use here?

Technically they use VIDA DICE but this is a non scanner DIY method.
