Good video but totally unnecessary. Both these bulbs can be changed from the engine bay. Unclip the airbox one side and the remove the washer bottle tube the other to give yourself enough space. No need to dismantle the bumper.

Yes read that , Front bar is a bit OTT
You may not need to remove the bumper to change the turn signal bulb, but what a great video it is to see how to remove the bumper, adjust the headlight wipers, reattach trim, and get access to the headlight module.
This is ridiculous. You DO NOT need to do this to change the indicator bulb.
Great job Volvo. At least you didn't need to pull the engine to change the turn signal bulb.
Every bulb is bitch to change on these cars.I like the car, but hate working on it.

Yeah really. I remember doing one of the lights at the rear and it was a total PITA. Mouldings removed, speaker in the column removed, and even then it was hard to get to.
🤣🤣🤣just take the screw out of the neck of the water bottle and the neck of the bottle pulls apart and you can access the bulb no problem it's a 5 minute job🤣🤣
A journey indeed; deep into the most egregious design flaw of P2. No sane reason to require this much work for a turn signal bulb replacement..... Whom to blame? Volvo? Ford?

Blame the mechanic that's charging you an hour's worth of labor to change a bulb that can literally by done INSIDE the engine bay, without removing any part of the front end.

Geez, the volvo v50 headlights are a breeze to remove! Just pull up on a metal retainer and pull out the headlight. All cars should be so easy
just remove the bulbs! Leave the bumper on!
Sue, your R&R Entire Front Bumper Assembly + All Brackets for a ridiculous amount of book time is painful to see... 5 minutes tops to actually change the 1157A.
NO NO NO...... don't do it this way!!!!. Get the owners handbook and those clips are plastic rivets,you push the central buttons down and they come out easily and can be reused, don't just rip them out!!
Why when I ask a question about my semi does it show me a video on a damn pickup??

This is why I’m never going to buy a Volvo again. The idiotic design makes it extremely difficult and/or costly to work on these cars (and not only the headlights). Even changing the lightbulbs from the engine bay is next to impossible when you have normal sized hands. Just imagine you have to do this on the road without tools etc. Ridiculous.
