Hey bro i know this is a dumb question but if i have a volvo 850R could i just buy any volvo 850 wiring harness or is there one specifically for the R/T5?

Just make sure its from a turbo car. Can be from T5 or R. Some of the NA harnesses are missing the TCV connector.

Congratulations this is the build I been looking for, big horsepower high revving and the engine bay don't look overly complicated like certain Volvo that was only making in the 400.
SimplyVolvo, I would just go ahead and say, this channel is super great, and super informative. I realy like how you explain what and why you do the different things. Keep up the good work
This is by far the most interesting chanel I've stumbled upon in a looong time on KZread. The level of detail is off the charts, I've spent the last three or four days watching all the clips up till now, and I gotta say I'm got darn impressed by your persistance and level of knowledge at your age. It's been a blast watching the clips, and I cant understand how this channel doesnt have millions of views already. Keep up the good work, cheers from Sweden.
Great video, love being taken along the tuning process so well. Keep it up
Congrats. I have very similar t5r from outside. Very excited to see next dyno results.
You’re a beast love this channel. Glad I just found ya. 02 v70 cross country here
Hard work pays off. Looking good bro
This is amazing! Super pumped for this build. Working on making my 98 S70 T5 with an RN R swap faster too!
Your KZread channel is a gain for volvo fans all over the world
The most impressive build I've seen come out of the Volvo dudes on this side of the pond, veery very nice man!
Amazing job. Congrats on your numbers.
Hey my man!! I absolutely love your channel!! I am so happy that I found it. Your build is so sick!! I am looking forward to talk to you about what I what to do for mine.
Nice Car! Had one just like it! Black with leather, sunroof, electrical seats etc... Sold it way back in time... Missed it so much i bought an Black S60 T5 with all the goodies and bits that came from factory! Volvo For Life!

1st doesnt build enough load and hence not full boost so traction is still meh but not too bad, but 2nd & above hook up no problem. Do note my powerband doesnt start until 6600rpm so the vehicle already has a lot of moment and doesnt spin as much.

what does it mean when you say sync loss?....my volvo isnt nothing near as built as yours is and i get a pretty mean fuel cut which givies the sensation of your upper level rpm backfire?
Congrats dude, this build is so damn solid, anyway, dumb question, what kind of highway mpg does it make in this config?
Wish my 2016 T6 3.0 had tuning software available, the P3 is so handicapped by the ECM 😭
This video makes me miss ny 96 855R it was black as well...
Congrats by the numbers , know you use 3,5" exhaust, there are enough room in the rear axle for that 3,5", it is all straight without any muffler? sound very hard, love it. That front radiator is the stock condenser from A/C, if yes it is working the ECC?
@SimplyVolvo
5 жыл бұрын
Yes there is enough room. Fully straight with a single straight through borla XR1 at the back. The front radiator is the condensor. AC fully working on my MS3PRO.
How much hp can I get out of 98 s70 GLT
You're making me want to put a Volvo engine into my Cavalier instead of the LLR when i convert it to RWD. :)
You need a little active filter, right at the crank sensor connector, something that can clean/condition the signal to the MS, maybe even run a shielded signal wire from sensor to MS. Auto engine bay is a pretty noisy electronic environment. Is there any issue with O2 sensor, Cam sensor?
@SimplyVolvo
5 жыл бұрын
Its not an issue of noise, but an issue of the VR sensor generating too high of a voltage at high rpm with the 60-2 wheel. A shunt resistor (resistor in parallel with the sensor) fixes this.
regarding to knock and richness, do you have wideband feedback to ecu? as to the flatness of tq curve, are you gonna play with intake vvt? please remind what fuel and cams are there.
@SimplyVolvo
5 жыл бұрын
Of course it has wideband feedback. No VVT on this head. E85 and 280 cams.
Looks great, but one question - does it make any sense at all to have such power on a fwd?
@SimplyVolvo

when you want a challenge like i do, yes.
What tyres do you have?
What are the dimensions of your intercooler? Also are you able to read IAT with the stock ecu through the obd2 port? I've never been able to get a reading out of mine with my scanner.
@SimplyVolvo

Its a do88 intercooler, its pretty massive. And no the stock ECU does not have IAT sensor only ambient temperature.

sorry missed it in the description :-) We are in a project to use a lancer evo 5 td05hr-16g-10.5 turbo on a T5 850 2.0 210hp model.. Was looking for a manifold that would be easyer to mount up to.
at 10:04 you say having 10kohm resistor in parallel with sensor still having too high output signal and wanna swap it to larger value resistor. If it is in parallel, u need smaller value resistor in order to have more voltage drop on it, not bigger value! or put another 10k in parallel, so it'll be 5k
@SimplyVolvo
5 жыл бұрын
Ahh yes your are completely right... I need a lower value, which will lower voltage. Just cant choose too low of a value or I will have low rpm sync issues. 5K seems like a superb choice.

Sounds awesome. But i would NEVER spend that mich on an engine to run Mega Shit-ecu 😂 Looks up MaxxEcu pnp, its a Swedish company that makes the most simple and easy tunable ecu's with many customisable options for adding sensors or what ever you like. Its really the best together with Haltech elite, but even easier on the user. Direct datalogging and use a pad or ur phone with bluetooth instead of having to connect to a pc. Very helpful and userfriendly installation manuals with both Swedish and English language. Me and my friends built a Supra (stock bottomend, non vvti head) that has maxxecu pnp which we installed our selves and got it started and also got a fuelsensor built in that makes u able to run on e85 mixed with pumpgas. The tune uses that sensor to change the ignitiontiming etc. to be able to run what ever mixture you like. www.maxxtuning.eu
