Crumple zones save lives by absorbing impact. Its much more dangerous to crash in this, than a modern car

No it isn't, you clearly don't know about the 240 then. It was design to have a huge front crumple zone where the engine and transmission would shoot out under the car to prevent driver injury. They were so safe that the government used them to set safety standards for cars. Furthermore these cars have racing harnesses and seats, full roll cages, a racing wheel and the driver has a helmet on along with hand device. Therefore, no it is not safer to crash in a modern car than in a race spec Volvo 240

@@MrDino-hp7fy agreed, race spec 240s are still some pf the safest cars out there when it comes to crashes, full steel body can still take a beating by itself (rolled in one some years ago) just rolled it back over and continued driving 🤷🏼‍♂️

Amazing driving skills. But God knows I am always so scared at how close people are to the course. I mean, any accident where one of those cars hits someone can easily be fatal.
