If it ain't broke don't fix it! (as far as the odometer gears are concerned. The break once every 20- 30 years because they are made from plastic that gets brittle. You may be able to get it for less than 25$ now but that is what it was 5 years ago for the large gear only.)Two hands when trying to remove that relay. The cap has nothing to do with the functionality of it. I don't know if there is any other way to access that bulb light relay. that is a pain.
