This is an original piece of music composed by me (Rhapsody) for my sister (Bloodrayne)’s rewrite of the television series Voltron: Legendary Defender.
This track is called “Blue” or “Joyride.” In this scene, Lance is chosen by the Blue Lion to be her Paladin, and then in the second half, she runs off with our main heroes and jumps into space, headed for the Castle of the Lions, stretching her legs and having a bit of fun in the process.

I never thought I'd see the day when I find some new Voltron content online! And you didn't disappoint me at all! I love how you combined the space/astral tone with some Lion King opening vibes, it's brilliant! As much as I love the show, I would've LOVED to have heard this for Lance, it fits him and the Lion so well!
I'm even more excited for the rewrite!

This is absolutely phenomenal! As someone who cares a lot about music in animation, one thing that always bugged me about VLD is how generic and forgettable the soundtrack was. I feel like there was a lot of potential for character themes and leitmotifs (having elements of the lions themes in Voltron’s theme would’ve been really cool!) Anyway, you guys really nailed the sci fi vibe and I’m super stoked to see what you two do next with this rewrite! Keep up the great work! ❤

It’s Latin. I wanted to do it in Altean or something, but I didn’t have time to write an entire language.
