dJ Louie Vega played this song on today on his Open Air Sessions on Worldwide FM - Expansions NYC - I had to Shazam it - didn’t realize it was that old - sounded fresh!

He's playing a newer edit of this track. The "Domo Retouch" - Hopefully it comes out soon.
The 70's was the best, is this was one of them

Still love it today 40 years later
I grew up with this band aka Funky Heavy Southside Park Somerville, NJ very underrated. Listen to the horns
The house was on the corner of W.7th St. and Spooner Ave. across from the Rescue Squad headquarters. Actually met some of the band with Kevin Proctor and Linda Clark one day way back in 75.
The Mytek remix is 🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥
killer song .... got me mooooovin
Love the musical hook vocalized as "City people pushing and shoving... " , as well as the falsetto vocal immediately following that ( that part sounding kind of like the Stylistics ) , which are my favorite sections of this record, however the rest is dope too ( nice piano ! ). Ran across this while researching the record Sparkling Brown Sugar "Come As You Are" which is a jam as well, and which is written by Doug and Romar Voltage. I decided to type in "Voltage Brothers" on KZread and landed on this joint right here. I seem to have a musical memory of actually hearing this record way back in the day, maybe only a few times. The likely place I may have heard it could have been on WNJR out of Newark. Being that the Voltage Brothers are from Plainfield ( as the comments below indicate ) , perhaps they received airplay there for a time. Wondering if any of the Voltage Brothers are reading this and can confirm this. Regardless of whether I actually have heard this in the past, this is definitely the joint! Just as the Sparkling Brown Sugar "Come As You Are" record is as well. If you look that one up on Discogs, it's actually going for $450 for the 7-inch single. Obviously their music has value, I hope they know this. But the music has much more than monetary value, as it has high emotional value for people who understand and appreciate the deepness. Love the horns!
@weshenjr Ha,ha. This is your cuz Douglas! wassssssup!
Very underated and very talented band....thanks for listening..
I think so , you might want to check out their website
@weshenjr Where are they performing now...??
Not sure if anyone will know the answer, but is this the same Voltage Brothers band that was based out of Plainfield, NJ in the mid/late 1970's ?
