The Voltage Brothers came through Somerville, NJ from Rodchester, NY in 1973. Then they were called " Funky Heavy." All teenagers, them boys threw down. Great musicians and singers. They made the 4th of July Festival at South Side Park a memory of a life time. THANK YOU GUYS.
They are from my hometown Rochester NY a hidden funky city
One of my favorite songs while I was a student at the U of R. Great memories. Thanks for posting.

Ray is my next door neighbor. Great guys and a great band.
These guys are like family to me. I miss seeing allof them. If they see this the "GQ" poser from Roanoke, Barry says hey and Thank You. Sharing talent is awesome.
Loved this and the group. Definitely Rochester NY proud!
Wow. Bringing back the memories. I took that album to college with me in the 70s and blew some Bostonian minds. Voltage Brothers! Funky Heavy. True FUNK.
I remember them in Somerville, N.J., family!❤
I remember the Voltage Bros while living at Loring AFB in Maine. They performed at the NCO Club and my gang and I had an opportunity to meet them. I remember having a crush on Jim (played the trumpet). This was during my senior year 76-77. When I moved to Georgia, they were performing at a club called San Souci's. Saw them then, but did not get a chance to talk with them. Another good memory and time of my life.
Rochester's baddest!!
