That's why I made my own Quantum from two cars: quantum 2.2 87 and passat trophy 1.6 87. Maybe soon i will finish that project. For now is 80%.;)

Here in Brazil, this car was manufactured from 1984 to 1990, with the name "Santana", the station wagon version called "Santana Quantum." they existed in two versions: 1.8L and 2.0L both 4 cylinder. +kixxclub Was it the 5 cylinder? I had a 1.8L four on my base model Quantum wagon, non-Syncro of course. I had almost 700k miles on that car before someone totaled it. In China, they made the B2 Passat under the Santana name until 2012 alongside modernized versions. That same 1.8L EA827 four cylinder was in the Santana, Santana 2000, Santana 3000, and Santana Vista. Very well made engine. The Santana was a popular car for taxi fleets, and I've seen many examples clocking the same mileage that I had. Now I'm just waiting a few more years to import a Santana from China. They're simply too hard to find in the US.

Good luck finding a good used Santana from China. Older santanas are almost all in terrible condition. You'll almost certainly be unable to find a good one that's twenty five years old. I'm trying to find a good Santana that's around 05 to 07, and having a hard time.
