I learnt the hard way by paying a fortune to the vw authorized service centre for my yearly or 15 k km service which costed me around 15000/- but to my surprise was able to get same done withe a private garage for around 6500/- only all including .(i drive a vw vento 1.6 tdi ) , subsequently i ha a problem with one of the diesel injectors and a estimate of inr 27000/- was given by the authorised vw service center , so i tried withe my private garage who organised a new siemens injector and the whole package with costed me just inr 12500/- , so to make this long story short , friends who also own vw products pls look around and you wiil be surprised to repair/service your vw car at a very low price , the company service station are only interested in looting you , so be prudent and go elsewhere, as for spares they are all available in market ( all oe ) . Last but not the least the car is superb - German technology at its the best .

@@s73000 no finish your warranty service obligations and then get the services and repairs elsewhere, provided you have bought a new car , if its preowned, then its best to get the annual oil and filter changes and if any problem specfic jobs with a good local mechanic who dose vw jobs .

@@s73000 - you are at risk of not being covered under warranty, so finish the warranty obligations and then go elsewhere.

If your vw car is out of the warranty period/mileage then opt for the annual oil and filter changes at any good local garage , the process process is quite and the recomend 5w-40 engine of a comparative brand can be used , do not buy the oil at the mrp rates as there is a 30% discount , which is not disclosed , so bargain hard . As far as the spares are concerned the are all available at reputed shops at a price which will surprise you ( the A S S make areal killing here ) once you are out of warranty do only problem specific jobs and not as recommended by the manufacturer who says , change this and that so and so kilometres- not necessary at all , these cars are built to last so dont worry .I own a 2013 vw vento tdi comfortline and have done 110000 kms , and the car is as good as new .

Nibir Goswami 1st 3services 11000 including taxes.paid services will cost around 12 to 13000 for every 20 k to 25 k kms break pads& discs need to be changed

VW Service Centre Normally don't allow you to enter in Workshop. Charges are also Unrealistic & Exorbitant
