Fun fact: *The singer who performs the danish chorus is called Johan Olsen and besides being a musician he is actually also a scientist from the university of Copenhagen who is known for hosting various science based radio-shows and has written a ton of books. He is currently hosting the live event of the Mars Perseverance rover on national tv as of writing this comment. The dude is kind of a legend when you think about it*

I’m Danish, and in Danish they’re pretty much saying: “Forever, maybe forever, shall we go together, the same way. And when tomorrow gets it’s eyes, and the night rests, shall we forever, maybe, go the same way” Not really 100 correct, cause it’s hard to directly translate the poetic aspect but that’s pretty much translated what they sing

The poetic aspect is that they say "når i morgen får øjne" instead of the more common "når i morgen åbner øjnenene". The phrasing they use is normally only used to describe the first time a kitten or puppy opens its eyes. It directly translates to "when tomorrow gets eyes", which unfortunately doesn't sound quite as beautiful in English.
As an English speaker, I’m proud to have memorized the chorus of this song

I first discovered Volbeat in 2013. Heard “Still Counting” on XM radio and was hooked. My wife then heard “Doc Holiday” and “Lola Montez” and she was hooked. Together, we’ve seen them live in 3 different countries on two continents and will see them again this weekend in Iowa, USA. July 15th.
My ring tone, my alarm clock tone, while being happy singing and dancing, while sad, listening and looking out of the window. This song has it all!

WOW, MEGA!!! Was für ein Sound, Schlagzeug, Gitarre und im Wechsel englisch und dänisch! Ich liebe eure Musik, eure Lebensfreude! Macht weiter so.

Volbeat: how does it make feel the song on your mind? Me: bliss
that voice ... glad to see to see there are still great metal/rock voices
BEFORE YOU ASK A QUESTION READ THIS COMMENT For Evigt is the same as The Bliss except for the chorus. For Evigt's chorus is Danish and sung by Johan Olsen, who was also featured on The Garden's Tale. The Bliss's chorus is in English and sung by Michael Poulsen. They are completely different and not just translations of the other. For Evigt will be a bonus track on the deluxe version of Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie if you are in America. Depending on where you live, For Evigt will take The Bliss's place as a main track and The Bliss will be a bonus track.

Stemmer det! Johan Olsen´s got a rad voice perfect for Volbeat. Would love to hear Kim Larsen involved in some future song too!
(the Danish part) Forever! maybe forever! should we together! go the same way and when tomorrow starts waking! And the night goes to sleep! will we together go the same way! (That's the jist of it, there are some of the lyrics that really can't be translated, like it's kinda poetic in Danish, but that won't make sense in English, but this is meaning of it)

Memory, your lamp light is burning holes Recover the damage, bring it all home Follow the bliss just like summer song Please stay there forever, I'll try to remember Come home Memory, you gave me another note A voice that is endless, bring it all home Oh what it is feels like a summer song I'll stay here forever, her face I remember For evigt, måske for evigt Skal vi sammen, samme vej Og når I morgen får øjne, og natten hviler sig Skal vi for evigt måske samme vej Happiness, I'm sorry you've been on hold The doors will be open, bring it all home 'Cause what it is, feels like a summer song I'll stay here forever now that I remember For evigt, måske for evigt Skal vi sammen, samme vej Og når I morgen får øjne, og natten hviler sig Skal vi for evigt måske samme vej For all these symbols don't open our eyes We'll close them instead, leave the messenger behind But one day we will know For evigt, måske for evigt Skal vi sammen, samme vej Og når I morgen får øjne, og natten hviler sig Skal vi for evigt måske for evigt For evigt, måske for evigt Skal vi sammen, samme vej Og når I morgen får øjne, og natten hviler sig Skal vi for evigt måske samme vej Skal vi for evigt måske samme vej Skal vi for evigt måske samme vej Translate to English

"Forever maybe forever, shall we together (go) the same way, and when tomorrow gets eyes (opens them) and the night goes to rest, shall we together maybe (go) the same way". When translated directly to english it doesn't come across perfectly but the parts in brackets show what is meant in the lyrics, although not a part of the actual lyrics.
