You guys are nuts. I loved that 2022 team. Still do. Why do you guys worry so much about what others think? Screw em! Those kids were having fun. So much whining from grown men. Love coach V and every coach at UT. Same with the players.

College baseball is tricky. The #1 seed hadn't won since 1999. Having the best team (as we did in '22) doesn't mean too much. It take a talent, grit, and a bit of luck. These boys got it done. Dylan Dreiling is a Vol legend. There are so many guys on that team that came through. But Dreiling REALLY got it done.

I don’t know if baseball can ever reach the popularity of Men’s Basketball, but I do know this: East Tennesseans absolutely love baseball. If you had to pick what is the most popular professional sports team in Knoxville, it has got to be the Atlanta Braves. The idea that people in Knoxville are just finding out about baseball or none know what hitting for the cycle means is lunacy! So I definitely think the market is there for UT baseball to be a huge deal in Knoxville and East Tennessee.

I'm a Tennessee Vol who lives in Baton Rouge. Local television has covered the fact that Texas A&M lost in the CWS, they've laughed about their coaching changes, and they've drooled over the players who went into the portal -- but I have not yet heard any local station state that Tennessee won the CWS.

The reality is they will get rid of the Black and Gray when they decide to stop selling alcohol in Neyland. Until that happens alt uni's will always be the staple.
