As it should be. On Facebook, all I see are "articles" or posts about Catlin or Angel, and the amount of hatred for absolutely no reason is crazy. A lot of them I believe are just people race-baiting and arguing about race, and many of them never watched before all of this hype. Many people on both sides have genuine hatred in their heart for people who don't look like them is pathetic. You should cheer for who you like while not tearing the opposition down.

That's because nobody said Angel is a coat tailer. I will say this, if Angel never acts up in that game, the CC effect is nowhere near this. Also because of that an social media, if this was 20 years ago CC is just Diana taurasi and grabs a few extra fans. All that said, angel is coming on, but people aren't paying $200 for a regular season ticket to watch Angel miss in the paint and rebound. Edit..... Shout A'ja is a real deal player with lots of skills. CC fans will start noticing them and they will also only get positives from it.

I don't usually agree with this pod, but Gil said something insightful. Eventually the black/white hero/villain storyline is going to dry up, so it'll be smart for the W to push them as both being winners. The nba eventually stopped pitting Magic and Bird against one another and made them pillars of the league together.

Exactly. Plus, if they both succeed, then everyone in the WNBA will over time. I also think it would be awesome if both got co rookie of the year, and you had Michael Jordan be the one to give them the award. Or you could have Magic and Larry do it since those girls are constantly compared to them.

@@hugh-jasoleC.C. did it to Hailey Van Lith who was the star player for Louisville and she waived off Raven Johnson when she thought about shooting the 3 point shot. Both acts were seen as arrogant. Angel was upset about C.C.’s perceived disrespect of an SEC team. Angel only did what CC did but C.C. was praised for her competitiveness and Angel same action was seen as disrespectful and thuggish. Angel explained in detail why she returned the favor and the media showed several instances of C.C. doing the gesture to several teams and said she got the gesture from a famous wrestler. So really what you have here is a clear double standard. Angel is doubled and tripled teamed too. But here is what should be the deciding factor Angel is on pace to break the leagues rebounding record where C.C. is only breaking rookie records in addition Angel leads in several statics and is averaging 3 points less than C.C. who is the first option on her team whereas Angel is the only the 5th option. It is a flat out lie that Angel is getting all her offensive boards off of her missed shots. That’s lies and misrepresentation moreover people should watch Angels play and not get information from those who see her as a legitimate threat. Let’s be brutally honest here, C.C was expected to come in the league and average 30 plus points a game although she is doing well she really is based on expectations underachieving. Angel had low expectations with many believing she wouldn’t make the team, so she based on her low expectations as exceeding expectations. She is a legitimate threat to C.C. and as a result she is constantly talked about negatively and blatant lies about her rebounding prowess. C.C. fans are running scared. Raven Johnson provided the blueprint for slowly C.C. below her scoring average and the WNBA players are not wide eyed impressionable 18 and 19 year olds. First option and ball dominate player is taking far more shots but is only averaging 3 more points per game than the 5th option who scores and rebounds out of sheer will power and determination. In a real world where everyone is treating equally this Angel who has not reached her scoring ceiling and will only get offensively better and who has work to do on her like of offensive moves and is an All-Star too.❤you Angel for proving the haters wrong. You are a threat to C.C’s millions of fans so they are going to continue creating to negative lies . She have them running scared. C.C to her credit is not like her fans, so don’t hate the player hate the game.

What Lexi says is interesting. Clark, Brink (until injury), Edwards, Cardosa, Jackson and Reese are all getting playing time. As someone who followed Clark to the WNBA, it's been fun keeping up with all of the rookie glass that I came to know, while Iowa was playing in the NCAA tournament the past few years. As I've kept track of all of them, I also now feel ike I know a significant amount of the WNBA vets. Where as if Clark had sat on the bench her rookie year, I wouldn't have payed attention to any of the other teams or players.

Reese whooping Clark the only reason our community know CC. When she beat her in the championship it brought a certain group of ppl to be Clark fans all of a sudden. So in all objectiveness, it was Reese who made CC into the Postergirl she is now. She wasn’t front page before Reese stood over her in the NCAA championship. Me also being objective, I admit clarke 3 point shooting is the biggest draw as of now for the women’s ball. They both are the face. It’s just strange how hard ppl try to push Reese down as she only speaks highly of the game and opponent. That’s what makes it obvious as to what it really is

I've seen clips and I'm not with it. It's just not enjoyable tbh, and additionally I'm tired of us trying to market antics and foolery as black culture. There are SOOO many black women who have been grinding and balling out in the WNBA (A'ja Wilson, Jackie Young, Jonquel Jones, Skylar Diggins, Neke, etc.). Quite frankly, Reese is not special outside of the clout that YALL gave her. She is *not* garbage overall, but dawg I could give a crap less about a double double streak lol. In the grand scheme of things that's really low hanging fruit when you're 6'3"+ and *only* stay around the rim. Shout out to you for the effort you put up to grab boards, but that jawnt is not exciting. Blacks folks are the only one keeping the dream alive here frfr 🤷🏿‍♂️

As a black man( you said it) I’m sure you are aware of how hard it is to post up on people who are also 6’3-6’7 and beat them at rebounding over and over throughout the game. It’s taxing and hard on the body. So for you to dismiss it as though it is a walk in the park is beyond me. I understand it from Clarks casual glazer fans; however, you asserted that you’ve been watching basketball I’m sure for many years and playing it too, so it’s weird that you would make this comment. Hey like who you would like, but to say a double double for someone who is considered small for her position is just wrong and dismissive. They aren’t close…they just aren’t…Clark averages a bucket more in points than Reese..with less turnovers than Reese’s rebounds by roughly HALF…Clark isn’t leading the league in ANYTHING besides turnoverss…all but one of her of Clark’s advanced stats are clearly lower than Reese’s to a point that it’s unlikely that Clark will catch up without a drastic change…and the one advanced stat that Clark is in fact leading in isn’t even enough to move the overall needle. But bow that Reese HAS to be in the conversation because she’s very clearly breaking records…the Media wants to backtrack to it being close and it’s ALWAYS been about their rivalry…and ppl in media that absolutely 100% KNOW how advanced stats work and why they have to be taken more into consideration than just the box..they still play blind to the advanced…and then on top of that they act like a player leading the league in a major category and then slightly trailing the other player in another major category is a close battle…like…what alternate reality am I living in? ( 9:36 ) And that is exactly why Caitlin Clark leads the WNBA in turnovers. Teams design their offense and defense around shutting Clark down. The defensive pressure is so intense on Clark that she can only approach a triple double! Imagine if the other Fever players became offensive threats, they would have to back off Clark to guard the others and then Clark could start dropping 30 point triple doubles. And if she does that, who cares about turnovers?

Mitchell is not a point guard, a floor general, someone who controls the offense in an effort to win the game for the Team. When the ball goes to Mitchell it seldom if ever comes back out to any other player, she will attempt super hero dribbling and a Hail Mary toss over giving the ball back up. She said publicly that she wasn't going to change her game this season. The Fever need a 6' 7" + center or two who can rebound and run the floor not a competition between a rookie point guard and a veteran guard trying to prove her value!

Reese brings energy and dawgness to her team. She's the clear Alpha female. 3. Even though Reese is limited offensively she is not a liability on that end of the floor. Caitlin Clark is timid and scared of players bigger than her on the defensive end. She is a liability. Kelsey Plum tore her ass up like a Komodo Dragon. 4. Clark is a turnover machine. I don't wanna hear about her teammates not catching her passes. The majority of he TO's are bad decisions. 5. Angel's motor never runs cold. Minnesota coach Cheryl Reeve got so fed up with Reese abusing Napheesa Collier she decided to double and triple team her and she STILL scored a double-double on arguably the 2nd best team in the WNBA and Reese more than held her own vs the Aces. How did Caitlin do vs the Aces last night? Miss me with the co-rookie shit. Oh, by the way, I have a real problem with Caitlin Clark's Nike deal. Despite every WNBA player stating Caitlin Clark does not deserve it. It's honestly so undervalued that it's ridiculous, especially if compared to the NBA. You see, from a brand marketing perspective, Caitlin Clark does not compare to any woman in the WNBA. She's comparable to NBA stars like Steph Curry and LeBron James. You see, in sports marketing, it's not about your on field results per se. Hence sucking at the Indiana Fever doesn't impact her personally or at least not materially yet. But what really matters is your Q Score or your brand awareness and favourability with specific markets. And unlike 99.99% of the WNBA Caitlin Clarke's Q Scores are through the roof. 😂❤

You're starting to toe the line with this one. What you're saying is moving from the "Clark is more marketable than those nappy headed hoes" and into the "she should be as valued as the men" territory. That's where you're going to lose people and it's the reason why people were anti-female basketball before the Clark/Reese thing a couple years ago.

Gilbert you should know that the point guard position is the hardest to play. Look at overall season stats and that will tell you who is ROTY and it's not even close. Clark's all around game even will tell you who is better! SMH AT YOU GILBERT! WTF has happened to the Gil

Caitlin Clark is the WNBA's MOST VALUABLE PLAYER (MVP)!!!! Thus, being the MVP of the league, by default, Caitlin Clark MUST ALSO BE the Rookie of the YEAR!!! Angel is a distant runner-up. I argue these points with my youngest sibling who looks at me as being a race-traitor. But the truth is still the truth! Without Caitlin there'd be no discussion of Angel Reese on a national scale. But without Angel, the show will go on as-is!

Unfortunately for fans like you, you have to have some stats to go along with popularity. Outside of the delusional fans Geno A referenced, logical people know Aja Wilson is the clear MVP, averaging 27 and 11, and there are a number of other players that are far better in the WNBA right now than Clark. It’s crazy how people overlook her teammate Mitchell, who’s usually responsible for carrying the offensive load for that team. This isn’t a Candace Parker type of rookie year where she’s MVP and ROTY.

@@wingamwila4113 @wingamwila4113 Maybe you don't read so well the first time. Here goes one more again. Without Caitlin, there would be NO CURRENT INTEREST IN THE WNBA OR ANGEL REESE! That is not hyperbole. Without Caitlin, Angel would be just another insignificant female basketball player. This is not hard to understand. Making gestures to anyone else after the LSU title game victory would have landed Angel nowhere but for the acknowledgement of that specific game.
