Plus the simple fact that this documentary was even made and the truth is coming out shows that the strangle hold that Taylor has is no more because no way this would have come out in the past. That she is nothing more then a narcissist who cares more about herself who uses young teenagers emotions to fight her own battles because she is too weak to fight for herself. Even her current boyfriend will end up either becoming too big for her that they end up breaking up as well. Can’t have a singing career based off failed relationships if you don’t keep having failed relationships…what will she ever have too sing about then? Sorry but you people thinking she cares about you in anyway is the sad ones. Going online and destroying people’s lives to the extent that you target children and have to make them go into hiding shows who you are as people and who Taylor herself is because even she knew that was happening and did nothing to stop it yet knowing the truth of the situation. They literally acted like she was just a girl who grew up on a small farm and got bullied so she has always had a victim narrative. In reality they had a huge Xmas tree farm and her dad made a lot of money and bought into the label that she signed to. The reality is that there’s not much to say about Taylor, so people cling to whatever they can to make her look bad. Is she perfect? 100% not. If the internet was a place to have a constructive healthy debate, I could name quite a few things I don’t agree with when it comes to Taylor’s actions. But while she’s been very lucky and privileged to have supportive parents who had the money to invest in her, she is far from being the most privileged out there. We are overflowed by nepo babies right now who not only grew up rich (not Christmas tree farm rich, superstars parents rich) but also grew up in the industry they ended up pursuing a career in, with all the right exposure and connections to make it. I don’t hear nearly as much complaining about them as I hear about Taylor. And honestly, even then, privilege cuts both ways. You don’t chose where you’re born. You do what you can with what you have, either way. Taylor and her parents and her team turned a £10000 investment into billions. I don’t know many people who could do that.

Imo the best thing that came out of TV are the vault tracks-some of which are now amongst my favorite of her discography. But that doesn't change that she had a chance to buy them from him. If a label owns your masters, and is getting sold, a new label will own it. She publicly stated she had no idea previously that would happen, which was a lie, and that she had no chance of getting her masters which was also a lie. And on the subject of lies, the reason she was and remains so angry at Kim K is because her recording exposed that Taylor had completely and totally lied about that whole situation. It was the most obvious exposure of her behaviour up to that point, and nearly ruined her crafted, marketed image. Hating Scooter Braun is fine - pretending he wasn't just doing a standard business deal and she was somehow uniquely targeted with the masters situation is not.

The reason that doesn't make sense is that they haven't capitalized off what they bought (which is weird). She however has benefit by having an excuse to sell the same music twice.

She signed a contract as a teen. She didn’t just sing and play music, she wrote it all- she published. Like Dolly… She had a right to her work. They all made millions off of her. There is one word that seems missed- “outright.” No deal offered her that ability. Read the deal terms. It’s important to mention that Taylor only got signed to Big Machine because her dad BOUGHT her a record deal. Her dad invested in Big Machine to save the label in turn they sign his daughter. I know this because my mom’s best friend was Scott Borchetta’s long time assistant at that time. (This has now become public information) Taylor Swift only has a record deal because her dad bought her one.

This is untrue. She was pursued by Borchetta as a flagship artist for a label he was starting. She had other offers, but felt like he believed in her. Her dad joined in with a 3% stake, because it was a brand new label and he believed in his daughter. Yall are so desperate to hate her that you wilfully spread misinformation.

Taylor Swift was already signed to a big label as a songwriter before this. They didn't let her sing and release a record so she left the label and started performing at bars and cafe, streets at 14-15. Scott borchetta then discovered her at bluebird cafe. He was starting his own label and had already signed an artist before Taylor. Also why do we act like Big Machine was a big, competent and a dream label for artists to sign when Taylor Swift was the only one who was selling millions of records on that label.

But everyone knows her dad invested on big machine its an open secret, how much I don't know that's why she found out the company being sold in advance and was inquiring about her masters. They even gave her father his share of the company after it was sold.

Taylor still said to Kanye "Even though I sold 7 million of that album, you honestly didn't know who I was. You should tell the story how it happened to you". Which means Kanye probably told Taylor why he wanted to rap the line which Taylor did hear. Kim probably cut the part out of Kanye explaining that, cause it would sound disgusting regardless of how meek Kanye explains it to her. But she was indeed aware that he thought he made her famous.

For every new album she put out for the label, they would ‘let’ her buy the rights to one of her old albums. This was orchestrated (behind her back) by Scott and 🛴, who collects pop stars, because he’s greedy and doesn’t like that she is powerful on her own. He wanted to have control of her career. He, essentially, wanted to own her. She knew ‘something’ was up and followed her very keen instincts. She is better off.

It’s very routine for record companies to own the masters to their artists recordings. And she was offered them multiple times by both the label and Scooter. Her dad actually profited from the masters being sold for having a stake in Big Machine. She’s a professional victim player. It may have had bad parts to the deal, but she outright lied about numerous things.
