Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Today we hit the streets with my Voigtlander Bessa R2a Rangefinder Film camera for some POV Street Photography! I also go over tips for zone focusing and how you can utilize some of the techniques I've picked up shooting a broken camera like this one! Beginners to advanced, zone focusing is essential to ANY Street photographer. nNothing too crazy in this episode, just happy to get the Bessa r2a back out and shooting some 35mm Film!

zone focusing. finally. someone has made it clear. professor in Basic Film Photography class could never get the class to understand what he was talking about. He was frustrated and we were frustrated. thanks
I know it’s not film related… but dude, you’re looking good! You’ve lost a lot of weight since I started watching your channel and you’ve motivated me to start eating more healthy 😄
Y E S The bessa is back! and gosh it feels so odd to be one of the earliest here, love from Tokyo man, keep up the good work
Great video my dude! So many interesting characters in this one! Also that Mercedes was CLEEEEAAAAAANNNNNN
Really like these Pov street photography videos! Keep up the good work!
Nice! Glad you got it workable again, my R3M has been my main camera for years.
Yes! I’ve been watching your former Bessa upload and looking at getting the R2M. That grip is 🔥, where did you get it?
i like how everything has gone more slow in covid time and we still love shooting film
Solid work! The Bess looks awesome!
I recently got into photography. I bought a nikon z50 at the beginning of the year. I love that thing. Stumbled on your channel I began to appreciate film. I got my first film camera about 3 weeks ago. I purchased a Yashica Electro 5 GSN. This thing is a beasst. Now, I really want a voigtlander. I might buy one early January for my bday. Shooting film is so much nicer. I like digital but something about film just feels better. Thanks for the vid!
I wish they’d manufacture more of these, I remember when I could find bessas for 500 but now they seem to be approaching 2017 Leica m3/m6 prices on the used market. Leicas are also increasing in value rapidly too so for the once affordable alternative to be as expensive as it is now, it’s really unfortunate. It’s unfortunate that photography is becoming a more expensive hobby both with the film and the cameras.
Appreciate the video Bruv! Really need this! Me and rangefinders don't mix but I am wanting to give it another try
Our man on the street!
this is so fun!
Dude love that grip! Where can I get one?

i have the same question
I really love your videos man because I learn something new from them. I have friends at your town locally and sometimes go to SF city. I hope I can bump into you someday. :D
That’s the bessa we all love Keepin it modern Vintage my guy 📷🎞
Sup Jonathan, its been a while bro! honestly man ive been slacking on my photography but your vids man.. makes me want to go out and shoot more. Minolta GANG
Love your videos. I just found my R2A deep inside the dry cabinet. I bought it on a whim in 2005 as a reward for myself, but soon forgot about it. It's in pristine condition. I'm stoked to start playing with it again. You've contributed to some motivation there! And so it's time to... well... accessorize...Where did you get the grip from?
Sick!!! Trying to decide between this or a Leica.... Both are tempting
My local camera store, OC Camera store in Mission Viejo, had a green paint one with the rapid advance winder. I never knew how solid that camera was. It did looks like the green version has a too and bottom made out of brass.
Hey KJ. Thanks for featuring your rangefinders and sharing your exposure tips. For me, the form factor of a rangefinder is not ideal, hence why I use my F-1. Suffice to say I will get my hands on a Bessa soon enough to master.
Yessir!
It's a cool camera. Absolutely worth fixing.
That camera is so beautiful
Still debating on the voightlander or leica so this video came in the right time!
Fantastic 👏🏻 Do you push the film?
Sweet lookin camera.
Great photos! Where can I get a grip like that??

grip link ?
If you're in a burning building and you have to choose only one between that Bessa or the Minolta X700, which would you grab? Hope to see you on the street when you visit again the Philippines!
Hey man, dying to know where you got the grip in this video
Wonder if aligning the rangefinder is as easy as on a Leica.
Dude! You’ve got to get that rangefinder calibration fixed! Too cool of a camera to not be fully functional. Keep on shootin’!
My experience is that rangefinder alignment is seldom an issue once you're familiar with the camera.
Can you teach me how to set the camera when we use expired film?
@kingjvpes where did you get the wooden piece that is on the camera
one more request for info on this grip...
May i ask where did you got that sweet grip at? 🙌
Love the Voigtlander Bessa R2a, classic rangefinder. Great vid !! What is that grip on the cam, looks fresh 🔥

Did you ever find it? I’ve been looking for one like it for a while. He doesn’t reply

@@Chefboyar__dean no I didn’t find it
You just need to remove the hot shoe and after that rangefinder adjustment on the Bessas is pretty simple and straightforward.
Can someone help me with zone focusing. If I set it at f/8, do I manual focus to 3ft-5ft and then have plenty of distance behind that or do I set it to infinity and have up 5ft of focus. I’m so confused
any reason you shoot horizontal over vertical for figures
So how did you fix the jammed camera?
Man, I want to see you shoot with the Canon P with the 35mm f1.8 or f2.8. I have an extra Canon P body and will let you borrow it if you make a video on it. Get at me.
Rangefinders 4life
San Francisco has a lot of Branch Covidians, I see.

just push film for bnw. Shoot Tri-x at 800 or 1600, for color just shoot portra 800 or push 400 by a stop. but with a p and s like the sure shot that has an auto flash, you dont really need to shoot film any differently than you normally would.
If you haven't noticed, the price of EVERYTHING has gone up a lot over the last year.
Wow you changed alot since sleep walk Guitar
My vain ass was looking at these just to have a (not leica) film camera to match my xpro/x100 setup.
