man, you could be shooting on mobile phone I would still watch. Your content is so relaxing, no stupid jump cut editing, no annoying music.. And I like the way you see. Have a nice day!

Gorgeous sunset shots at the end
Everytime i watch a video of yours i'm inspired to grab a camera and get out shooting. Your style is brilliant in my opinion and somewhat different from mine, that's whats really motivating me to see things differently. Since i found some neat film channels like yours and grainydays i had a blast trying new stuff and am quite happy with some results. So, thank you!
From the bay but living in seattle, I'm driving down to sf this weekend and this got me so excited to shoot along the way. Love you and your vids
At the beginning of 2021, I bought a Voigtlander Bessa R2 for about 500€ (should be around 600$). I've always wanted a Leica M6, but it's way too expensive. So I looked for alternatives and found my Bessa R2. And I love it. Tbh, I bought it because of the Leica M mount. So I can buy lenses that I could also use on a Leica M camera. I love the build quality and the rangfinder feel. I have never regretted buying a Voigtlander.
Your videos are so inspiring and relaxing.
Loving the cinematography & the overall production value in your recent video! Can’t wait to know more about this camera and your book.

I appreciate that! Thank you ❤️
Never been early on a video, but I just want to say I’m really thankful for your videos. I have a 50s Retina ia film camera and your videos have really helped me to understand working with film. Thank you!
YESSSSSSS, A WILLEM VIDEEOOO!!! 🥰🥰🙌
So fam, how long do we think it’ll be until Willem finally breaks down and buys a Leica? 🤣

I thought Willem had a leica already?
im so glad i found your channel :) my mom gave me her old Pentax Program A film camera. Im still getting it cleaned, and fixed up, but I can't wait to start using it!
Plans: “Hmm, what we gonna shoot” Wills: “Yes”
I actually got my first bessa after watching your review on the R. Moved on since but good to see you’re doing some 35mm work again!
congrats on 300k subs willem !! we’ve been blessed with good content lately and I’m so happy :)
Sick little camera dude! Glad to see you jumping back in to the world of 35mm📸🎞
35mm and 120 definitely have their own use cases. I also carry a 35mm camera everywhere I go, and shoot medium format only when I'm specifically going out to shoot and have a certain location or frame in mind
I absolutely love that you're uploading more frequently! Also, congrats on 300k! Well deserved!
If you’re hung up on the external viewfinder perhaps the Bessa R4m would be the next best thing to an m6. Built in light meter, multiple frame lines fully mechanical par the light meter
6:13 stunning shot 🙌
Glad to support someone that I have similar interests. I do plan on opening up a film photography business! Your videos have given me more insights into film cameras
this was beautiful man, these photos were some of my favourites you have shot!
Really love that shot of Allison standing in front of the ocean. And congrats on 300K man!!!
I love your vids bro its so chill and calming
Holy Cow! 300,000 subs! Congrats, Willem. ✌️✌️✌️ And oh, my, Voitlander is such an eclectic company, what unique design choices they made with that thing. Something you said near the end nailed it for me. I've been experimenting with a Leica M and their 35 mm f/2 ASPH, and you are so right. The camera is so small, so much fun to shoot, I find I never leave my house without it since I got it. Love to see your huge success on You Tube, and maybe give up an update on how SoCal has been treating you now that you've settled in. Cheers!
I love pch but I also highly recommend a road trip up the 395. Definitely has its own unique personality. Was just up there last week and there were still patches of snow on some of the peaks. A drive that takes 7ish hours took me 10 with all the the extra stops and detours, was just so beautiful. Would love to see it from your perspective
ahhh i was just in big sur! I wish i was able to meet you i’ve been watching your videos for a couple years now! Glad to see you come up to the bay area!!
Haven’t tried the T - but been rocking the Bessa R4a with the same lens and can’t believe how sharp it is for 35mm! Always nice to see your new vids man. ✌🏼❤️
Only started watching your videos quite recently. Man great stuff and a huge inspiration to my own journey.
Nice to know beautifully crafted stuff like this is still made!
Canon A-1 in the corner of the room looking angry at that voigtlander
Verbeeck was in Morro Bay! That place is like a second home to me. Been there sooo many times since I was a child
GREAT WORK ON HERE WILLEM!! AWESOME SHOTS!
All the shots were amazing man. What a great camera!
Amazing video man! The Bessa R usually gets most of the hype but the Bessa T and even the Bessa L are so underrated and fun to use.
I just bought Bessa-L. Can’t wait to take it outside. Love this content ❤️
Happy to see you shooting and making videos about 35mm. It's more relatable. Medium format still seems out of reach, for me at least. Thank you!
Literally just eyeing this camera yesterday, the fact that not many people talk about this camera. Then you upload this, instant click 👍

300k, crazy dude.. been watching your channel for a minute. Congrats!!
300k WHOOP WHOOP🥳 LET'S GO WILL
Loving the vibes in this one! Great job king
seem to be enjoying California much more than NY, happy for you.
I love non-Leica cameras with a leica mount! Currently shooting a Canon VI-T, with a trigger mechanism instead of a film lever! And it’s amazing! And now I also want a Bessa🤷🏻♂️ Great video as always! Nice to see Big Sur scenery!!
6:15 is absolute Perfection.
I have this same kit but with the Bessa r2 and the Nokton 35mm f1.4. Such a fun a travel friendly kit! The R2 has 35mm framelines along with 3 other focal lengths. Plus the lightmeter is internal.
Willem!!!! These shots are so incredible!!!!
For the multiple lens situation, a good alternative is the Leica VIOOH Imarect Viewfinder, it is a multifocal viewfinder that was used for the Leica series 3 cameras because for example, with the built in viewfinder it was impossible to compose with a wide lens, a longer lens or a big 50mm lens, the VIOOH is really easy to use, the just small difficulty is that the measures of the focal lengths are written in centimeters opposed to millimeters but it is a small insignificant drawback! Great video, well done! Post Scriptum: The VIOOH can show the frame for a 35 mm lens, a 50, a 85, a 90 and a 135
Happy birthday, I love yo photos and videos man
Was sold on the Bessa-R after watching your video on it and ended up buying one, very cool to see you continue to explore Voigtlander's other options!
What a beautiful camera! And gorgeous shots man. Definitely inspired me to snap some shots today!
Good on you man this is a smart choice & a beautiful setup.
congrats on 300k willem!!
These photos are absolutely brilliant!
Congratz on 300k subs :D love the shots
Came down with Covid yesterday, this video really perked me back up as I was looking for some quality KZread to keep me distracted but had expected only to find clickbait on my recommended page. Now going to go back through a Willem binge, should keep me busy all day haha. Thank you for this Willem, always such incredible videos
Congrats on 300k!!
Hey Willem! The trick with the lightmeter is use it while you are watching through the viewfinder, it work fine with my Bessa L (little sis of Ts and Rs bessas) and a 21mm skopar. Regards from Spain ✌🏼

Second to that. Had the same impression as Willem in the beginning but naturally started to keep an eye on the lights to adjust the exposure while focusing or framing.
Can't wait to hear more about your new book! I'll be the first to buy one! 😄
I was just in Morro Bay 2 weeks ago. Love it there!
color organized photo book shelf goes hard bro
holy crap those pictures were insane willem
Ne toffe video Willem! Goe gedaan. Dat gevoel heb ik ook bij mijn Konica IIIA.
I have also one Bessa T. Love to shot at B&W with the Heliar 15mm and the Ultron 35mm 1.7. With the same lenses, I have 21mm and 50mm focal lenght with a Fujifilm X E1. Switched from Contax G2 to this setup a comple years ago. I'm happy.
0:15, just realised my man used film for that shot, dedication right there.
It’s about time for a 35mm!!! Im utterly excited!!!
Just discovered the Voigtlander Bessa L coupled with the Voigtlander 25mm Snapshot skopar and finder. Quite amazing really, despite also owning a Leica MDa
I’m from the central coast of CA so to see your take on such familiar places to me is a really cool!
Super cool camera and amazing photography, again ...!
I own a Bessa R and I’m in love with it!
Yay I missed these kinds of vids!
That surfboard shot was sick! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love this camera!!! I need one
Great video always Willem!
I own a Bessa R2M as my primary 35mm and I absolutely love it, the Bessas are so wonderfully built 'n' stuff

@@Voyager45 hey random, but i’m looking at picking up something from the bessa R line, you think an r3m is worth the price difference over just like the R?
@Voyager45
2 жыл бұрын
@@curtiswhitman9611 Personally, I wouldn't pick up an R since it has an entirely plastic body, and I don't believe it has a Leica M-mount. However, the R2M/R3M/R4Ms have significantly increased in price since I purchased mine a couple years ago. So, if I was currently in the market to pick up a bessa, I would probably go with an R2. Metal body, M-mount, and still looks sexy. Although, I absolutely love the 1:1 viewfinder in the R3M as I like to shoot with both eyes open. I guess it all just depends on what you need/want out of the camera. Decisions, decisions... haha Very curious which one you'll pick.

@@Voyager45 thanks for the feedback. Ive bee reading about the Rs plastic body, I think ima gonna go for an R2, its cheaper than the other and has the 35mm framelines
amazing as always
that grain is amazing also i remember a part of highway 1 near big sur collapsed
I have a Bessa T Heliar 101st anniversary version with a heliar 50 3.5 collapsable lens, and I love this setup
it's a very interesting camera actually, and very nice to see how it came out, great video as always willem!

also nice new setup as well! love it!
great video! I own the bessa r4a and I don't see replacing this camera anytime soon!
Love your work!
The Bessa is really tempting. Actually was looking into the r2a today but came to the conclusion that if I'm going to use Leica lenses I might as well get a Leica body too. The M5 is pretty affordable since most people aren't a fan of the design. I think I'm going to get an m5 eventually. Either way I hope this setup suits you! Can't wait to see more of your work on this camera.

It’s been 1yr.
Love this one ❤️
I recently bought a new rangefinder ( YASHICA ELECTRO 35 GL ) and now I'm loving the rangefinder style
I am so happy the bessa t is getting some love. I wanted a rangefinder in the m mount category about a year ago and found the bessa t and thought I was going crazy because no one was talking about it. body was $450 and it takes leica m mount lenses? no brainer. I got mine in a pristine looking baby blue. it’s been a year and have been really happy with it. it’s so cool looking, everyone in public always asks questions about it.
Gorgeous and relaxing ❤️
CONGRATS ON 300K!!! :))
You should check out the Rollei 35s! It’s a great camera for its size
you really inspire me to go into photography📷❤
great camera tutorial, thanks!
The Bessa T, along with the Bessa L remind me a lot of my grandpa's Leica IC. External viewfinder that's unrealistically bright, add-on rangefinder, no frills.
I still use the Voigtländer Bessa 1, my great-grandpa owned, from 1929... xD Works surprisingly well for all these years of usage
never been this early on any of your videos. Just wanted to say that I love your content! I'm getting multiple old film cameras for free tomorrow and im so excited to try them :)

Jealous!
love ur 35mm vids!
I have couple of Voightlanders - an L and R. I chose them because I already shoot with L39 lenses, and that just made as much sense as shooting with film! 🤪 The L has neither a rangefinder nor a viewfinder, so that makes things interesting. I do like the light weight of it, and it makes for a very portable match for my Leica and Canon lenses. The main attraction is the light meter - the same as with the T. I rather like that I can set exposure and focal range before even lifting the camera to my eye! The R is more conventional - more like an M6, but one heck of lot less expensive - and much easier to load and shoot than my IIIf Leica. They are all fun, and that’s what it’s all about for me!!!
Been watching your vids back when you had a thousand subscribers. Can’t believe the channel has 300k!!! Unreal 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I always liked your photography skills but this video is proof that you are also getting the most out of any film and are very good at post processing.
Wow, beautiful photos!
Yoo, I was just rewatching some of your older videos and thinking 299 so close to 300k and boom ! Not gonna say I did it butt telpethetically maybe. lol Congrates !! to another 300k
