It's really interesting to see someone dive into this show. Everyone knows that it's not great... but for a lot of reviewers, it just ends there. I really wish the show were better. Weird musical numbers in kids cartoons aren't the most surprising thing, but good music has been ingrained in the Sonic series since the very beginning, and it could've been remembered fondly. I also think the darker atmosphere is cool, even if SatAM definitely did it better.

I wasn’t feeling this show as a child.i couldn’t bare it. Even as kid I knew this was subpar even for a kids show. I never got hype for it. Nice review!

I think "Godzilla" at 12:54 is actually the Tasmanian devil from the looney tunes.

25:31 I KNEW IT! HAHAHAHA! I knew that voice was somewhat related to Double D! No, I'm just glad I got it right this time. And now this part (34:03) makes everything weirder. Thank you so much both of you, I liked watching this video. Much appreciation.

I've been looking foward to learning more about Sonic Underground, so this comes as a pleasent suprise to me. It's a pretty good review, I enjoyed it. It was interesting to hear about the show in detail and see what's the deal about it. I think you could've focused a bit more on the writing in some areas, but I guess it's pretty hard to focus on everything in such great detail. But I enjoy hearing about the music from someone who is much more familiar with the subject, as I never was an expert or a very fanciful listener when it comes to music. Overall it was a fun experience to hear about Sonic Underground and I think you both did a great job in making this video

I remember this show from my childhood, it’s been YEARS sense this show crossed my mind. Nostalgia is a power thing.

I’ve never seen this show aside from one or two of the songs on KZread, but I’m willing to bet the fact that part of the reason for the series’ short run was because of Sega wanting Sonic to have a uniform storyline starting with Sonic Adventure (a far cry from today). I also find it no coincidence that the next tv series Sonic X stuck very closely to the series’ mythos even adapting the events of Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Battle.

Sonic underground is awesome

19:53 Your logic kind of contradicts itself there. I get the whole mother and daughter relation thing going on, but the same could also be Jaleel White voicing all three characters to make a connection as siblings.

It doesn’t contradict itself. You bring up an equally valid point, however, all I was saying was that having him voice a female likely sounds inferior to the Queen Aleena voice actress voicing Sonia as well.

@@IKGProductions I said "sort of" in the regards that you kind of made it sound like because they are related, it makes sense for them to be voiced by the same person. From how you articulated your point (Sonia being related to her mother), that's what's I mean because you kind of disregarded Jaleel voicing all three of them to make a point. Or at least, that was on first viewing of this video. Perhaps they wanted to give them unique voices, and having Jaleel do it helps distinguish the three of them. Regardless of medium, there's always creative decisions with everything.
