Despair and (the resulting, sort of pleasurable feeling of) Violence, and the possible conflict of a Hope that is brought about by that Violence. Something self-righteous, but on some level, you find yourself empathizing with. The concept was musically conveyed as a fusion of bass music similar to trap and drum & bass, that doesn't try to hide the distortion and twistedness present in this state of mind. The starting point was an orthodox jazz fusion idea, and the arrangement contains a smoothness with piano, electric piano, and jazz bass. However, when the electronic beats supporting the tempo and the string section from the double quartet comes in, there is a hybrid quality to it, that interestingly merged very well into the context of a J-anime song. LIO's super solid vocals were a perfect match to the chorus that comes running in all at once. In addition, Masato Honda's saxophone brought a sudden sense of luxury to the piece. The intertwining of the parallel m9 chord and bass before the interlude was my favorite.

The composition was truly a masterpiece. This was the only reason why I finished the anime. It sounds so incredibly grand as if something truly great, awaits the listener and it fully delivers when the chorus comes. The bridge where the saxophone solo goes creates a sense of full-on action atmosphere, as if the Hope is actually winning. I love this song.

Easily the BEST anime OP

This has got to be the best official lyric video I've seen. I always love when they put art and other animation such as this rather than just the lyrics. My favorite part of the lyrics is "the world I'm yet to encounter."

"Go on and follow it, Running on through the heat....!" - I dont know what is it about this particular part, when paired with the scene of sensei appearing and acting cute(alongside all the classmates) feels like peak emotion; like a form of morality chain holding back from fully falling to darkness kinda thing. It kinda gives me abit of goosebumps everytime that part comes up in the OP.

I love the build up. It make us waiting on what will comes next, and we're washed by calming tune, albeit still carry some weight with it. I say well done and great job for this piece. It's one of my favorite.

This song is just too fire! Glad to see others appreciate this masterpiece. I loved the vibe and music and once looking at the lyrics it got so much better. First time hearing it with the slow build out. When I thought the song couldn’t get any better I was pleasantly surprised. Love the sax and how funky it gets with the bass. 👌

this is the best song ive heard in such a long time. i love the sax, the funky bass solo, and the way the vocalist just bends the notes making you feel like she can bend space and time. an incredible mix of genres i never couldve imagined. this is why i love music so much. when someone can bring something new and unique to a place filled with billions of already existing masterpieces, it just hits different, and you realize not everything is black and white. thank you for the song!
