I am a proud Rhodesian and will d till the day i die i am now 73years old and a proud Rhodesian.❤❤❤❤

I had the privilege of once working with an old timer who was a veteran of the RLI. Fantastic soldier who, even in advanced age (for the job), was incredibly skilled and professional. My respect to him and all others who fought for this great nation. Courageous people, splendid land.

By looking at this video I find it difficult to control my emotions and it certainly hard not to damp a tear. It brings back lots of fond memories of our beloved country Rhodesia.

@@pp2p adjusting for inflation and parity with first world countries at the times such as the United States Rhodesia had a GDP per capita equivalent to at least 5000 USD. And the economy kept rising. The only thing that stopped it was the sanctions that they resisted for a decade.

I don't think Rhodesia ever did recognise Jerusalem as the capital...at least not out loud....I know Israel supported Rhodesia (at arm's length mind). Maybe if Rhodesia was still around today, who knows? I do know though, that Rhodesians would've always backed the underdog, like Israel, Ulster etc. But it would've also backed other countries in a similar position to which it was in during the 70s, such as Bosnia, Croatia, Armenia and Syria. Probably Ukraine as well.

In fact it's turned around. Rhodesia used Ode an die Freude earlier then the EEG. 1970-1979 Republic of Rhodesia 1972 Council of Europe wants Ode an die Freude as anthem 1985 European anthem adopted by EEG
