@@VoicesofHistoryLarry. I love your channel and interviews. I can't get enough of the history of wars that america has been in. The soldiers view points sometimes heartbreaking sometimes make the hair on my arms stand up with pride. As the saying goes "those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it". Or as your saying. "Lest we forget" Thank for doing your part to bring the real life stories of these heros (to me they are) out for everyone to see, hear and hopefully TRY to understand what they went through. Alot, still, live it even though it has been years since they experienced it. Those are the stories that bring tears to my eyes. I never served our country and ashamed that i didn't. I try to do my best to support and honor their service. God Bless our soldiers

It is amazing to me that this channel only has roughly 58 thousand subscribers. To me if one forgets the past the future is paved for tyrants. Peace out love y’all. Thank you for posting these.

I would think there would be more as well, as the number of veterans stories we have personally sponsored total almost 600k views in less than 10 months. Thanks to Larry for being a good steward and teacher. Thanks for all of these gentle heroes.

Alvin, this is probably one of the best comments I’ve ever received. Thank you for understanding things from my perspective. I aptly titled my documentary series, “LEST THEY BE FORGOTTEN!” If we don’t remember, we will forget. My greatest fear is that I will be forgotten.

Ed, it is time to share Franz's story. We've heard from the Americans, Brits, and Canadians. Now a keen and insightful perspective from the German side.

I’ve seen this interview several times now, and it’s as interesting today as the first time I heard it. It’s criminal that we never got the German soldier’s perspective of WWII (especially, D-Day). I think there’s a lot we could learn from their perspective. So thoughtful of you to get this man’s perspective. The part where he said that Rommel guessed right, in that we’d land at Normandy was intriguing, given how much effort was put into trying to convince the Germans that we would land at Calais. I would love to have heard what he would’ve changed with the opening of Saving Private Ryan. Btw, I thought the interpreter did a fantastic job.

Oh my gosh. Unbelievably good interview! Absolutely fascinating! So informative! German interviews are so rare and every time you hear one you realize how poorly our history books are written. Don’t get me wrong there are things written that are correct but so many things came out in this interview that go against what we are taught. I wish there were more of these out there that would help piece history together but sadly there are so few left from that era.
