Her choice to try to influence the Hay Festival is the questionable behaviour. There she is at least putting her reputation as a reliable performer on the line. The hay festival is a celebration of upper middle class virtue signalling and has been for years.

Apart from lap tops and computers, mobile phones, prescription drugs, pillcams, gps systems and a list os over 6,000 start ups that originated in Israel, what have the Israeli's ever done for us?

My dad lives in Hay. The festival is full of irritating 'Hoorah Tim Nice but dims' blocking up the place with their pastel jumpers, tied around their necks. It's like a libdem jamboree. They are thick as mince, walking in the middle of roads and asking daft questions, like where to buy Ugandan goat tapioca. I vowed never to visit when the festival was on, several years ago as I have a very short fuse and a strong compulsion to advise them that I consider them human detritus. This boycott confirms my opinion.
